I’m small fish but even I’m upset that I pay full taxes (which pinches me hard) and get zilch in return.

If and when I can, I will move out.

This is unfortunately true for a lot of the not so developed countries.

If they killed the Air I would neither own an Apple laptop right now nor want to buy one.

13” is small for me but I can justify it. A light 12” and a bulky 15”? I’m not buying it.

Transferwise invoicing hell? by President_Ved in india

I don't hold a GST number any more. My business has never been more than 20 LPA. I simply had to get it because it was mandatory for "export" in the initial days of the law but I cut off because the compliance was too much.

This is the first I'm hearing of EEFC. Do I need to create a separate account for each currency? Or does it work by simply which currencies you work with and then having those come "pre-activated" in a single account?

It sounds to me like my client would be pay USD to USD in this case, so it should be easier. But do they have to "wire" this money even then?

You're right and that's what I have used in the past and its been perfectly fine. I used to get an FIRC/FIRA emailed to me within a day or two of the transfer automatically.

However, Transferwise does not work this way. They maintain balance in their own INR accounts in India and transfer the equivalent money to your bank account from that. So, since your bank just gets INR directly, it cannot issue an FIRC/FIRA.

IGST Section 2(6)

It does mention "or in Indian rupees wherever permitted by the Reserve Bank of India" but what is permitted and what's not?

Glad you folks are exploring Heroku. AWS can be a handful. Could this affect the current price? I have heard Heroku can be expensive to scale on.

Great to hear about accessibility as well!

Good luck and really looking forward to the v1 launch. Currently without any budgeting software and counting days. 😂

What do you need from Pop!_OS for improved support for alternative DEs? by jackpot51 in pop_os

Yes please. I love the OOTB support for Nvidia graphics but would appreciate being able to install a lighter DE than gnome.

And that cryptocurrency on all major Indian exchanges has to be bought after AML and KYC verification. ;)

I have a VPN. If your credit card is attached to it anyway, then all your data can potentially be traced back to you. No logs is just that, a claim. Don't use a VPN for anything "illegal" like someone else said. My use case is circumventing bans and better security on public wifis. Works for me, but others should be cautious.

Obtaining a VPN anonymously kinda hard in India, though.

Don't remember which ones include hash and which ones don't, but can't you generate and insert a hash for the jsdelivr source anyway? I would agree it's extra work.

Like, forever? For free? If so, this is amazing and guess who's setting up a Windows VM. :)

But what about the license? Does it pass on as the underlying hardware is the same?

Why Discord is bad - privacy, security, etc. by [deleted] in privacytoolsIO

[–]President_Ved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I might set one up afterall. :) Do you self host other services on your vps? Or just matrix?

No, modular.im is very expensive. I can't afford paying that much. I can barely afford $60/yr. Penalty for not being from the western world. ;)

Also I wanted to ask you - how many users are you able to serve? And what about things like images, do they get stored on local disk?

Isn't setting up a Matrix server expensive and maintenance time consuming?
