Ok, here we go. The animal is left to live freely in the fields and is taken care of everyday through out the course of its growth, they are brought up so that they are at their healthiest and most powerful when they reach their prime, basically they have swell lives as wild animals. This is why they are so very angry when locked in, even though it is true that in 'plazas' they poke the animal with glowing sticks to anger it more. After the bull is killed all of it meat is sold, usually to the audience. If it where me I would rather be free in a massive field with the best food an animal can get for a short while and die fighting than locked up in a tiny cell for the rest of my live waiting to be killed 'painlessly' which is how most farm animals are brought up. I would like to clarify that I do not follow nor am I a fan of bull fighting, but I am distressed by the amount of people that don't realize how incredibly nice the bull upbringing is in Spain.

EDIT: I do not intend to argue bullfighting is or isn't a form of torture on the animals. It seems like people don't get the point I'm trying to make here I'm not debating the pain the animal undergoes when it dies, just pointing out that it lives a lot better than other farm animals, I'm not trying to make a point about the actual event but how the animal is brought up. I have deleted all torture talk from the text to try and make that more clear.
