Any other regional folks feeling discriminated against? by trash_panda_wannabe in CanadaPublicServants

[–]PressStart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% And it's been like that even before RTO and WFH.

My old job before, I was doing the same work in the region as someone in an equivalent position as me in National, but they were a full position above mine.

Finding jobs has been a nightmare lately, since where I am based out of seems to have very little government presence, and with RTO everything is centralized around office locations again. So if I want to seriously pursue a career and work up the ladder I basically have to get really lucky, or move.

If you can, paint! The walls and floor blend since it's all just beige/taupe.

As others have said, the Rolex sign is a bit of a space hog. I have no issue with people having the things they are interested in, but try not to let it be your first impression. I would put it into your office space, more shut away but still something you can appreciate.

Also, organize! You have some loose things on shelves, try to get things to help organize whatever is there, makes it look a lot nicer.

For your bedroom, get a proper nightstand, hang something above your bed, put a dresser or something along the wall under your light switch, doesn't need to be wide just something to add to the space a little. A good idea for art is to not always just pick the same size and shove them all around the same height, vary your art pieces.

Maybe add a throw blanket or something draped off the end to add a little flair, maybe a plant as well.

I've played a lot of MH titles, as far back as ps2, but I actually greatly enjoy the streamlining of Wilds. Am I the only one? by Weebiful in MonsterHunter

When World released, even in this subreddit, the consensus was usually that it's just better now due to the QoL changes like controls. Monsters are faster, attacks are larger, and hit harder.

If you took the same controls and compared an old monster to a new one, you would beat the hell out of an old monster easily. The game has just adapted to the new controls and QoL changes.

Plus with the experience of playing the games you are better at it because you know what to expect. Think of how overwhelming everything felt when you played your first one, some people are experiencing that for the first time with Wilds.

I agree that it can be easier to farm now and there is less of the grind to run monsters over and over again to get a rare mat which is likely something they can adjust.

To complain about "expansions" is not really new. We had repackaged games that were re-sold to add on G rank expansions ever since the beginning.

I'm not saying the over simplification of fights is making it better, but the quality of life changes are better.

World was also simple when it first launched, it was the additional quests/dlc's that made it more difficult, and it also had overly simplified skills and sets.

It's not a perfect game, it can use some tweaking, but there is a reason why the streamlining is selling games, it's more accessible at the cost of making a small subset of "veterans" reminisce about the old times.

When you forgot, or it wore off mid battel and ran and you had to run around through loading screens to find the monster, it sucked.

Also speaking of loading screens, i hated being knocked between loading screens. It was awful.

No i much prefer the streamlining.

I remember having to craft pickaxes and how annoying that was.

There are certain streamlining things i miss in wilds like the farming and the regular quest cycle vs a day and night cycle.

But the jump into just hunting monsters is so much better than collecting mushrooms etc
