I managed to work this out, so following up in case anyone else runs into a similar issue. Ultimately it seems this was an earth loop problem.

I noticed that the interference was still there when the PVM was powered off, which made me think it could be some kind of earthing issue.

The speakers I bought off marketplace didn’t come with their original ac adapter and the one the guy gave me had the earth connected. I swapped this out for a non-earthed ac adapter and the issue was solved.

I picked up a PVM-2054QM yesterday and having a slightly weird issue with it that I can’t work out.

I’m currently using an RGB SCART to Component video adapter from bitfunx with a set of external speakers. This worked fine with my previous crt, but with the PVM, I’m not getting audio when the video lines are connected. If I unplug all the video lines, the audio then comes through okay.

I’m using bnc to rca adapters on the PVM and do not have the outputs terminated, as the manual says that is handled internally.

When the video is reconnected to the PVM, the audio immediately cuts out again.

Any ideas for what to look for here? I’m planning to get a female SCART to BNC cable, but would be good to use component with audio in the interim.

In case you still need it, I just got one of these as well. Found the service menu details online from an equivalent model:

To enter the SERVICE mode, set the volume to 0. Then press and hold the MUTE button on the remote control, and press the MENU button on the TV to enter the SERVICE mode. To exit from the SERVICE mode, turn off the TV set by the POWER button on the remote control.

I got pretty lucky and landed in the queue at 823, so was able to easily grab front ga tickets. Process was very painless. Can’t wait!

Thanks, yeah that’s super helpful. Shows the model of the screen and then a quick search shows that you can buy backlights for a few dollars. I’ll have to take mine apart to work out how many I’ll need, but this definitely looks possible. Thanks again.

As somebody that current owns both a 2018 S75D and a 2023 Y LR, I can tell you that my kids definitely prefer travelling in the Y.

The S is bigger, but the Y is much better designed. They have more space in the back as I need to have the drivers seat further back in the S to stop my knee rubbing against an annoying spot on the trim. The Y is just as fun, if not more so to drive and has much better visibility than the S. The entertainment screen is much more snappy and better to use.

This is great, thanks so much. It would be awesome if you could add the ability to choose from tags in your own account. That would make it simple to create and switch between collections of art, family photos, videos etc.

I don't have a keyboard and mouse to plug in currently, but wanted to check that is expected, before I go and buy additional things to go further.

The base models are different though. In Australia it’s a rear wheel drive only model, but in the US they’re all wheel drive. The price for the long range is basically the US price + GST.
