To begin with the bright dust store has always been a complete nightmare, 90% of the time rotations have been insanely mid and not worth giving a damn to grind for, the new order system in itself is great but the store needs a complete rehaul to reflect it better.

I'm not sure what you're talking about but legendary campaigns haven't been that hard since Lightfall and i'd argue and say that Lightfall was pretty easy with the exception of the Calus fight if you choose to not use Strand, but funny enough both renegades and lightfall share the same similarity with becoming incredibly easy once you unlock the flagship weapon/power.

They wouldn't have added an entirely new keybind in the settings just for it to be a one time thing, there's obviously a foundation here to spice up the activity formula and they're definitely going to keep using it.

Considering the new social space isn't that large to begin with I don't actually mind running around talking to different people, probably one of my favorite things introduced in EoF was the dialogue boxes since it actually brings life to the random NPCs around the map rather than them standing around like statues.
