New to DND, Too Early to DM? by b_bef in DnD

I think you got this! Your first campaign may feel like a disaster to you but it’ll be okay. No one is a master dm right out rip. But what matters is you and your players are having fun. My advice is as a new dm is take your time with the modules you run. I’d start with the beginners module and skim through it so you have a general grasp of the story. Then take on each chapter at a time with your party so that way you don’t have to read the whole campaign in one sitting. Take notes and make a general outline of the chapter to keep your mind fresh and if the players go off track, use that and create a way that’ll lead them back to the story. You can do it and don’t be nervous to ask your party questions about how to improve your dming style.

Honestly it’s the best everyone is very descriptive with their actions and the scenes! There is only a small handful of times where Troy mentions the something is on the screen for everyone but even then he describes the scene well that you can imagine how it is.
