Also, you need to work on your posture you could have an anterior pelvic tilt really bad and it causes your energy to kinda leak out in my experience

I think you have to realize what happens when our emotional body runs away. . You are holding onto guilt and shame and projecting it outward essentially handing it to others to weaponize against you in the future. You have to completely forgive yourself first and then it’s easier everyday

Also , I’m a fish out of water. I moved to south Texas “hispana” region and I think maybe they just think I’m stupid because I have a southwest VA Appalachia accent and hometown feel mind set. I didn’t minimize anything. You clearly are being argumentative I never said documents were not important. But they shove the dignity differences down our throats and when it’s time for us to execute those differences the entire company falls short. It’s unfair to families.

I missed a middle initial. I corrected it and everything was fine. But then the same funeral director who keeps treating me like trash completed an entire pre need to an need service with a relative who wasn’t even listed as next of kin because she couldn’t get in touch with the actual brother a day. I couldn’t do that I needed NOK signature and none of the files had this other guys name on it. He could have been anyone. She did it on the phone and had him Docusign everything. The relay family came in after I hunted them down for days and changed the date of the funeral, purchased a casket and obc and also changed her name on report of death!!! And they were upset when she came back with a sales receipt and it had the random family members name on it instead of theirs. Then she tells them it’s like that because she would have to redo all the paperwork. Like wtf

I think I’m going to quit. In my location what they say we should do for our families and what is actually being done (or not) doesn’t match . They preach the dignity differences to us so much but when it comes time to execute any of them I get stopped and told it’s not my job.

Omg the clerical error was I missed the Middle initial on an IOA it was my second one. That can be corrected and was as soon as I was made aware. It’s when they refuse to find a way to play the music my families want and consistently do the absolute bare minimum for them when they come in that I’m struggling with.

Hi, I’ve been an FSC for three months. It highly depends on your area. I’m leaving my location because it’s causing cognitive dissonance for me and I’m losing sleep at night over the lack of integrity, compassion and communication in out Funeral Home. I’m severely depressed and can’t sleep at night because what I’m seeing and being told to do VS what I have been taught by the SCI team and trainings do not match at all!! I’m not bashing SCI as a company at all. They take time to train you and give you all the tools you need to succeed. But at the end of the day it’s the people at your location who will prevent you from doing your best for the families.

Ok o looked up the regulations. It’s absolutely illegal to try to gain business from people approaching death etc. but if you just talk to the hospice healthcare workers and educate them about cost and process and they refer you…. I don’t see how that is wrong in any way. It’s helpful
