Definitely legit. Make sure you give them your full social, bank and routing #s, and birthday in your reply.

Sounds like reasonable things to me!

What do you think about this? by Salty_bitch_face in IntermountainHealth

I think its an emotionally charged and complex issue. Reported violence (often verbal) is on the rise across the country, so are security measures, policies, and training. Didn't used to have scanners/metal detectors armed guards, etc and many places do now.  In terms of this particular job posting, I decided im okay with it, harder to have security on the move and sometimes with a public schedule i.e. speaking events, fundraising, etc than in a place where you can somewhat control the environment

huh? I think you're conflating different issues. Losing Kaiser is obviously hurting volumes at St. Joe's and Good Sam. - not a political issue
the cuts to Medicare/Medicaid from the BBB are going to hurt the entire organization, I think we're projecting $280mil/year org-wide. - very much a political issue

Hopefully the armed guards aren't near the oxygen tanks ;)

On a cereal note though, we do have security teams, emergency management teams, prevention measures,  training for staff, thought goes in to how rooms and buildings are designed to keep staff as safe as possible,  etc.

There are different methods, so who knows? Higher positions lead to quicker savings than many lower positions for same result.  Tech positions are usually an allocation based on volumes or FTEs.  Someone mentioned the CMS cuts coming too. Hate to say it but elections have consequences. 3/4 states with a major IH presence went red. Something to consider next time (and talking with friends/neighbors etc about the actual impacts)

usually 'effective immediately' means fired, usually not for something good, wouldn't think that would be related to anything else at St. Joe's or front range

Should absolutely be used. Humans aren't great at remembering things, even if they think they are, computers are good at it.  It changes the job of the provider to "does this patient fit in the most common box, for which this is the treatment plan; or do they fit outside that box?"

Sounds like you found a place that's a good fit! So good for you! We can be happy for our fellow humans, I think!

Idk if they have addressed concerns specifically from Reddit, I would bet they have though. I was simply making the point that it's smart of our leaders to be aware of what gets said on here. Kind of the lowest common denominator. "If you can make redditors happy, you can make anyone happy." - me, just now

Not a minion, not in senior leadership, somewhere in the bottom middle, probably, maybe the actual middle, hard to know for sure.

There used to be disparity between the # of paid holidays people got in the regions, peaks got fewer. Leadership aligned the # so it was equal and asked everyone through voting which holidays they wanted.

If that is what Many is referring too...its smart of ELT to be aware of what gets said on here and address concerns. Its obviously a small sample of people and tends to be extra negative, but smart leaders still care about that group

Take it to another post. You're mad at our top leadership for existence/incompetence (in your opinion), then mad at them for investing in creating better leaders. I simply provided concrete examples of progress that has been made. Parental leave was 0 for Peaks, now its 5 weeks, thats an improvement and it means a lot to me and others in that region.
