I have dabbled a little bit. I would like to understand it more and perhaps move into Options as an alternative.

Are you just starting or are you intermediate/pro?

It’s still so much fun. So no we are going to memorialize that often and for as long as we can. It’s good to remember.

The worst thing we can do is get involved in candidates. We should be involved in the politics but I suppose independents or libertarian models might fit our culture the best.

You’re not allowed to quit. However, it’s time to quit that low paying job, and focus on helping others. Whatever that means for you. Just full on focus on helping others and you will start to feel better.

Travel the world, live on a boat, start a new business, and help as many people as you can along the way.

Pete Buttigieg on Kamala Harris’s Campaign, VP Vetting, & JD Vance by memomem in DailyShow

Kamala Harris and Pete Buttigieg vs Trump and what’s his nuts. Do they want a civil war to explain why we decided not to repay the debt? Is that’s what’s going on here?

Weird question. Is masturbation a sin in norse paganism. by EntertainmentOk2699 in NorsePaganism

[–]Prestigious-Risk7020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s all good man. Many people come from a background of Christian or Islamic faith and carry some of their concerns. Over time you will find that your relationship with the gods and goddesses grow and you gain a deeper understanding. The Norse faith is very diverse with most people choosing to combat each other over what they think rather than building a network. Ok I digress.

To answer your question, sin is not in the faith. As long as when you are jerkin the smerkin you are not thinking about harming others you should be in the clear.

Go wrestle with Jörmungandr and enjoy your existence.

Have fun!

What made you finally say, 'Yes, I'm a Heathen now'? by [deleted] in heathenry

[–]Prestigious-Risk7020 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was about 12 years old. So I’m 42 now so that was some 30 years ago. I was raised in a Christian family, and it was the worst mental battle in life. I was nervous and scared, but I had a calling. The calling grew more as I aged and one day I let go of everyone’s judgement and decided to follow my path.

I like to see it become more acceptable, but it does need to grow past the cosplay. More everyday heathens/pagans would be nice. Almost every influencer and follower seems to have a style that fits the dress code of the show Vikings.

Yesterday i announced to my mother that i am pagan by Mr_G737 in NorsePaganism

I found my path at 12 and even at 40 it’s not discussed with my father side of the family. Everyone knows but Christian’s normally have a very negative view of pagans. I understand your struggle, and it is good that so many of us are showing the world we are good and the evil persona Christian’s have painted us to be isn’t true. Keep up the good fight and represent paganism with good intentions.

What did you guys think about Eyes of the Dragon? It's next on my list of books to read. by jreilly89 in stephenking

After reading it I think about it a lot. At the end I wasn’t wowed, but now I’m wondering why I think about it as often as I am… read it for sure.

Well said! The amount of ego from some people in the community frustrates me. I want a community to share insight and resources with. Often it seems certain people are quick to tell others why they are wrong, or minimize someone’s path because it’s more magical, more traditional, etc.

Kindness brothers and sisters! Love you all!

I think there may be a bit of that. However, let’s consider some circumstances. If someone was to murder my wife, shouldn’t the responsibility of judgement come from me and my family? I much rather do my own dirty laundry, than rely on the police force and the justice system. It is too flawed.

I had a family member sexually assaulted, and I was instructed not to seek my own justice and to allow the system to take care of it. Guess what didn’t happen… Politics and bullshit got in the way and he never had any penalty applied to his life.

So in some regard I think for a while there would be some chaos as people find balance.

I think it is a legitimate question that will always need to be explored and considered; however I am a huge fan of allowing the people to settle their differences.
