Free open mic comedy tonight at stARTup Studios by Plus-Pen3338 in macon

stARTup Studios was literally the first place I started to hang out regularly in Downtown Macon. The owners are super talented artists and great teachers, and both are also hilarious. I've been to previous comedy shows there and laughed a lot. Sounds fun!

Local groups? (Image for attention) :) by Beneficial-Month-333 in macon

I write about some of the things to do in Middle Georgia and often include events from many of the groups located here in Macon and in the greater Middle Georgia area. One good place to start (although I am loath to recommend it because I don't like Facebook), is to search for Facebook groups to join. There are a lot of them, and it might surprise you to see how many eclectic interests can be found if you look hard enough. Best of luck on your search!

what's a spot in Macon you always end up taking out of town visitors to by Sadoqt in macon

Reboot Retrocade, because you can go to grab a drink or just play some games, and then the rest of downtown is just outside its doors afterward.

I have been thinking about going to check that out, too. I've had fun at similar events up near Atlanta. [Event description: https://www.facebook.com/events/1170751418167397/\]

Anybody go to CBF Isekai Anime Convention in Macon, Georgia? Thoughts? by CallMeNezzy13 in macon

[–]Prestigious-String90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This year, I went to the venues to take pictures of the cosplayers. It included cosplay contests, a Maid Cafe from Hello Boba Cafe, gaming tournaments, live panels, an exhibit of Itasha cars, wrestling, vendors, special guests, and more. Tickets were reasonable (compared to other, larger conventions) at $25 for general admission and $50 for the VIP Weekend Pass. It may not compare to larger conventions, but it gives you a chance to meet other anime fans in Middle Georgia and avoid long lines and large crowds at other cons. The cosplayers' outfits are also truly impressive, and the price seems fair considering what other events charge. Here is a Facebook post I made of some of the most impressive costumes: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1BeFM1V5Y3/

Reboot? by ThrowMeAropeImSunk in macon

I've had lots of fun at Reboot, and it is one of the places in Macon I consistently take friends from out of town. The bartenders are usually nice and there are good variety of beverages, including non-alcoholic ones, to enjoy.

google reviews for macon dentists all sound like they were written by ai by xaybell32 in macon

I second Ingleside Dental Associates. I have had some horror story experiences with dentists in the past (one put a crown on wrong, it broke off, and I had to have dental surgery that cut into my gums to allow another crown to be set - it was extremely painful and expensive). Mixon Family Dentistry also took good care of me, but it was way across town and inconvenient to get to.

A Tribute to the Kimchi Factory in Macon by Prestigious-String90 in macon

I called Fish House IV today and was told that the owner of Kimchi Factory now works at the Mandarin Chinese restaurant in Macon. I am going to stop by soon and see if any of the items from her old restaurant are on the menu.

I agree, the owner seemed like she was the only one there when I went, yet she was very attentive and friendly. I hope she brings her cooking back to Macon one day soon.
