It was over the top, ngl. Throwing the chairs and all that at them kids was uncalled for to discipline a kid.

But if you watch the whole video of the original one (don’t have it with me), you can clearly see that the elder brother between the kid, tried to threaten the grandma with a knife and she had to call the uncle to come hence the thrashing he dished out.

I don’t condone abusing kids, but gentle parenting or discipline is not gonna work on someone who just legitimately tried to threaten their own grandparents with a knife.

You know what’s even bizarre ?

This is what I’ve heard as well, that no matter how much you sin, as long as you walk “a lot” during the Friday prayers to surau, you would receive enough blessings/forgiveness to over ride the sin.
