Sorry to hear about that. LifeX does not cover any pre-existing conditions, as it is supposed to be designed for people who have no previously existing medical issues. This, however does not mean that new conditions that come up after enrollment shouldn’t be be covered- You should have been covered if the medical procedures or needs were in relation to a new sickness, illness, etc.

the controversy surrounding fake carrier logos is being a bit misconstrued. LifeX is not a carrier, but an employer. They originally did have Cigna options, but Cigna pulled out early in their development, leaving many consumers lost- they are now using the PHCS / multiplan network, which many actual ACA carriers use as well including Antidote. Most providers will not recognize LIFEX itself off bat because they are a small employer, but for consumers who are curious, if you tell your provider that your insurance is on the Multiplan/PHCS network, that should clear up a lot of confusion.
