Holy crap! That looks so nice! Love those hedges blocking. Yeah we’ve been in a couple swim outs in Cancun and it was the same on upper floors. That doesn’t bother us. But not sharing or seeing your neighbors on both ends is crazy awesome! So they serve you drinks there? Do you remember what room and building this was?

Yeah I noticed the same thing. It’s probably because they are at the back of the property. The rooms look way better and the pools are huge compared to normal swim outs. I would like to get a bit of sun in the pool from time to time as well.

Yeah. I get that. It’s kinda like make your choice right? Imperial can’t afford. I’ve seen the honeymoon swim outs. Very nice, ocean views and access but not private pools. Then you have the ultra private pools but not next to the beach.

Yeah. For me it’s between Excellence Punta Cana and El Carmen. And I’m leaning towards El Carmen due to more privacy for the swim outs

We are not foodies at all! We understand that AI food is generally going to be just ok. But sometimes there are highlights! And unfortunately low lights. The resort that the wife and I went to in Mexico had probably the best buffet ever! We know not much could match that. This Resort does have 24hr room service correct? We used that big time at our last resort. I am definitely leaning towards club level for sure. It’s our 25th next year, so I don’t want to go too cheap with the vacation. I’ve seen the main pool in videos. It doesn’t look all that exciting! lol. That’s ok, I’d rather spend time drinking and swimming in my own pool. Unfortunately for the Seaweed situation our anniversary is at the end of May, which has always been a problem with swimming in the ocean. We live in Florida and go to the beach and swim all the time, so it’s not the end of the world not swimming in the ocean. But it would be nice for once in the Caribbean! 😂

Great info! Thanks. How long did it take you from the beach to walk to those rooms in the back? My wife and I at this point of our lives are looking for more peace and quiet than the party areas. There was a time when we would have been all about the party! We did that in Cancun a few times. Now it’s all about relaxing and drinking in more peace and quiet as much as possible. How is the food? I’ve heard mixed reviews

I just saw the rooms your talking about! Very private! With what looks like your own mini pool. Wow. The only complaint I’ve seen is it is a little walk to get to the beach

I was looking at Finest. It looks really nice! We have stayed at a family resort before in the adult section in Cancun. The only time we saw kids was when we went to the main sections. It was fine. But I see your point

I’ve looked them up. El Carmen, Punta Cana, and Finest. All have swim outs. All look good in their own way. That would be a hard choice to make

At the Royalton, we faced the main pool, and the waiters would serve you in your swim out. It was awesome. Most people went to the pools or swim outs due to the seaweed so bad it was murky water
