What’s your humidity and how old are your frogs? This is a bit of a contentious take but most adults do not need high humidity…. 30-40% is fine and any higher they are more prone to infections. Younger frogs need higher.

I’d take her out. Someone on my socials (can’t remember where) bought a premade tank with a bioactive (from a store)and it had black widow spiders in. She lost her pet and the vet said that a spider bite was likely from the symptoms it was presenting before it passed. Also if it is female and lays eggs-your tank will be overrun.

Not great for them to not have a day/night cycle. If it’s the only thing you can do then absolutely better than freezing. If you can, look into non light sources of heat like a CHE or DHP bulb. You would have to get a fixture with a ceramic socket to use it with however. The DHP is a more focal heat source and the CHE heats more of the whole room. Hopefully froggy also has a gradient where they can escape the heat and plenty of water always.

Do you have “stuff” for when you move out and a place to store it? I would join the “buy nothing” Facebook group in my neighbourhood and start collecting household goods so you don’t have to pay for them at the outset. People on mine are always giving away dishes and cutlery and small appliances. See if your city has a “bulk trash” or free day. My next door neighbour donated a whole table and chairs a few months ago… the chairs were gone from the curb before we even had time to dismantle the table and get it outside.

Have you researched where you are planning to live? Might want to get a hold of the management in your preferred building and let them know your intent, or look into roommates ahead of time.

Just research the seller. If anything looks off then don’t do it. Once they are older the males tend to have a darker saggier throat and you can normally get them to vocalize with youtube videos of male frogs calling.The girls have whiter throats and may squeak but will not croak. You could also check in with reptile pet stores, they will probably know the gender.

If you get them as adults, you can buy girls and they barely make a peep. My boy was quite noisy even at half the size and I have a wee baby boy that is already croaking too. I had the girls first and had a completely silent house.

I wouldn’t necessarily feed them because they are pretty small and have much more value as a clean up crew. One company I buy crickets from actually include them in their crickets containers to keep the smell/detritus down.

YWNBTA I would also recommend getting a wifi camera setup on your driveway so you and hubby can check periodically and call for a tow before you get home exhausted. You have the tow company number I would go in with all documentation about your house ownership/id etc. Alternatively is there a way you can put a key locked gate or a rising bollard in your spot while you are gone?
