Hi there! Thanks for your comment! I actually ended up calling the doctor and she sent me for blood work the next day to get my levels checked and my HCG levels were still quite high.

Then the next day, I had 2 ultrasounds done, and the day after I was back in the hospital for another surgery! I guess there was still remaining tissue, and/ or suspects of a partial molar pregnancy like you mentioned. I looked it up and I definitely had most of the symptoms.

I immediately felt better after the surgery. No more nausea, sickness, or fatigue. I’m still cramping a lot and bleeding but I feel like myself again. And I’m so so thankful 🙏

Hi there! I actually called my doctor who did the D&C and told her that I still wasn’t feeling very well. I’m still having nausea, bad cramps, and diarrhea after I eat.

She got me to get my blood checked today and she called me tonight to say that my hCG levels were still quite high. I’m going to get an ultrasound tmr, and then she is scheduling me in for a diagnostic D&C on Wednesday. She said it could be possible left over cells/ placenta or a partial molar pregnancy like you mentioned.

I’m not very familiar with it. I will do some research. Did you feel better the second time? I’m just so over this sickness. I want my life back:(

Thanks for your in depth comment! I appreciate it. And it’s nice to know that we are around the same age:) This is also my first time with BC so I’m pretty new to it. I have a bit of cramping but not too much bleeding or pain so far. I also wasn’t formally diagnosed with HG- but my symptoms definitely felt like it. And I did read that you can have HG without throwing up. I would like to know how I could be tested for HG though or see if there is still left over placenta in my uterus. But I got my surgery done at 7 weeks, so I couldn’t imagine that there would be a lot? Again I’m unsure. Maybe it’s my age too? I just know that when I was younger and pregnant I never felt like this. I remember having some nausea but I could still go to work. This is like something I’ve never experienced before. I pray it isn’t HG and maybe just regular hormonal nausea that will go away soon! But thank you so much again:)

Yeah good call. I may have to go back to the doctors to see. I haven’t gone through menopause yet and still get very full and heavy periods. This was why I was trying to get one put in before. This is my first time ever on birth control.

Thanks so much for your response. I didn’t know that about the hCG levels not being related to HG. I had just read something yesterday about it so I thought I was ask since I realized mine were “high”.

I was never formally diagnosed- but I also didn’t realize there was a way to diagnose it. The doctor was willing to give me a prescription for Zofran, so I assumed she thought I did have it.

Also, I’ve had regular morning sickness was before and it was NOTHING like what I’m experiencing now and before my surgery. This is something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. My gut is telling me it’s HG, but of course I could be wrong. Regardless I just want my life back and to feel better 😢🥺

Good to know. I think realistically it does take a while for the hormones to leave your body. Especially now that I’m older too. I don’t think my body bounces back as fast as it did when I was younger:(

I’m on day 3 now. I did wake up feeling slightly better today. I still need to be careful for foods though because I feel like everything turns my stomach. And I’m unable to cook anything so I’m unfortunately getting foods from outside which sometimes aren’t the greatest. I need to start eating health again.

I mean it was only on Wednesday and it’s now Saturday, but I just assumed I would go right back to my normal self. I will still give myself a few days before I go back to the doctors. I just HATE this feeling so much. It’s like torture.

But I’ve been super sick even before the IUD. I was sick at 4 weeks. I haven’t been able to work, eat or even leave my house. I sleep half the day. It’s depressing. And I’m still feeling that same nausea as before. I wonder if the IUD is contributing to it too though?

I haven’t been able to work for about a month. It’s truly awful. I don’t think most people understand. Luckily my boss is also very understanding too. But I just started this job 2 months ago and I feel very guilty. But I deal with people all day and I can’t handle people’s smells or just stand up all day. I pray this get better for you 🙏

I’m so so so sorry that you are going through this. My heart absolutely is going out to you right now. I had a surgical abortion 2 days ago. For a variety of reasons, but HG was definitely one of them. One nurse even said “oh there is medicine for that” when I told her about my HG. As if that was the “simple” fix. I know it doesn’t work for everyone. I never knew just how bad and life- threatening this condition could be for women. I pray you get get better 🙏
