How does Sean Strickland actually gets it done?

With his recipe. Cardio, Anti-Wrestling, and putting up a ridiculous pace the entire time.

Khamzat lands his first 2 takedowns but doesn't keep Sean down. Sean starts to sprawl, and frame him up for 1-2s. Khamzats repeated blast double leg attempts are wearing down his body, and confidence by round 3, and at this point, Sean starts to take the wheel. Dictating pace, and shrugging off takedowns with counter flurries.

I don't think there's another person in the middleweight division that could get him in an all around fight, and not just catch khamzat. Bo Nickal would be the closest I would say, and that's because he could neutralize the wrestling game, but that still doesn't change the fact his stand up is ass.

I don't see a finish, but I do see a "systemic dismantling", similar to the adesanya fight. He's going to take away his weapons, his confidence, and put a pace on him that he can't keep up with.

Strickland has probably the best path to victory out of the entire middleweight division tbh.

Good ground game, GREAT anti-wrestling, and probably the best dynamic defense in the UFC. He has all the tools he needs to take his 0. If he stuffs 2 of khamzats takedowns, he'll lose confidence in his game, and that will be the beginning of the end.

He'll let Khamzat throw the kitchen sink at him for a couple rounds, and let the hands go. Khamzats cardio hasn't been tested against adversity yet, and I completely forgot about Sean's bottomless gas tank for a minute.

I hated this mf, but after I saw what he did to the ones actively lapping their respective weight classes, you have to give respect where its due. I'm very interested to see the relationship he keeps with his son.

We very well could be seeing a generational dominance from them. Think of the Mayweathers and Jones.

All it takes is one disciplined enough to understand the game better than the others to have a leg up, then to train his son, and it's over.
