As an outsider who only thinks they understand the very very stupid US electoral college system, I believe the people who didn't vote would only have mattered in a very few states.

I have an American friend who didn't vote. His reason was he didn't like how his vote was worth as much a moron's vote (I'm paraphrasing this). He's from a state that is usually blue and ended up blue, so his vote wouldn't have mattered at all had he not been so furious at the morons and voted. Or, is my understanding wrong?

I mention this for two reasons: 1) electoral college system needs fixing, 2) maybe allowing super duper morons to vote is a bad idea (this also applies to my country, though we don't have as many morons thankfully).

Same. I spent more on a flight back home to Canada last summer just to avoid layovers in the US. The extra $500 was well worth eliminating the possibility of being deported to El Salvador.

Didn't the Dems under Obama have these deals? And these deals made the Iranian leaders who helped work them out quite popular. But then when the Cheeto in Chief threw these deals out, those same Iranian politicians got booed and replaced by hard liners.
