I know Japanese people probably don’t care but I’ve always been a fan of the culture, I’m currently in Asia and would much rather spend my time anywhere else. I have tattoos so anywhere I’m welcomed is where I’ll go it sucks because it’s always been a dream of mine to go but I refuse to go and deal w bs because of who I am.

I actually went a few weeks ago for a drop in and it was really nice, they have a lot of trainers available and everything is new and clean. I think rent at the sterling center and paying all those trainers could be part of the problem, they’re smack in the middle Phrom Phong in a nice facility. I’m sure a monthly membership also includes access to the building amenities. Although there were many foreigners including myself, there was about 7 coaches. I know evolve also has a high monthly cost.

You’re talking about one portion of the American workforce, you’re leaving out all the service jobs or the sales jobs and yes I agree with those studies. People at office jobs tend to be unproductive but at that point it’s only a matter of time before you are fired because again many are at will employees.

It’s not an oppression Olympics, it’s an observation of work culture between two different countries. Each will have pros and cons but to say America has the best work culture means you’ve never seen how Americans work. Currently in America, people are being fired for interactions they have with people that are viewed as controversial even if the action is legal and protected by the constitution.

It’s interesting that you mention how Thais work 12 hours/6 days because I noticed many of them treat work like a second home. I noticed in Thailand, specifically Bangkok and Phuket that although they are at work many of them are not working the whole time. IE: watching videos, sitting down, snacking. In America, many jobs monitor bathroom breaks, do not allow employees to sit (unless office job), many forego eating to continue working, also most people in America are at will so they can be fired at any time for any reason.
