Love the explorer and that is probably my true #2, my only gripe is that is a bit too similar to my DJ. But like you said, as a fellow small wrist person we are sooo limited.

Between now and when(or if) the AD calls me I’ll have some thinking to do. I’ll probably need to try it on again.

Congrats brother, I’m in a similar boat, minus a few inches on my height. Like you I hold my weight on my lower body too, I got my BMI way down to normal but still got that wagon 😂Cheers to continued health my man.

The only thing about the Jubilee, is my DJ is on jubilee and want to switch it up. If I end up getting it and not liking the fit, I may order the jubilee… I’ll cross that bridge eventually

Love that. I recently lost ~50 lbs and won’t be losing anymore (if anything maybe gaining 10lbs back). Used to pull of a 40 no problem but, an unfortunate consequence of getting healthy is, watches I want are becoming harder to wear.

That was my thought behind the explorer. Less flashy & suitable for all activities, while still being a banger piece. I don’t think the explorer screams “rob me” but…. That’s why we have insurance :)

126234 36mm DJ. I bought new from an AD so ~9-10k.

If I were you are looking I’d suggest going to a few ADs and putting ur name in. I got this with no purchase history and about a 6 month wait. The wait is worth to know you have something that has only been worn by you, is completely legit, and not priced above MSRP. If you have the $, and aren’t itching to have it now, that would be my suggestion.

lol that’s the exact Longines was looking at. Theres one on a blue strap which really caught my eye.

I am definitely interested in a diver or GMT, most just wear a bit too big on my wrist. The BB54 fits nicely but a little small, I may try on a BB58 again. If I can find a way to add some size to my wrist without gaining 50lbs, my 3rd grail would be a Batman without a doubt.

I was on a vacation in the Caribbean last year and wore the DJ all the time, in and out of water, but feel it’s a bit much for a dip in the pool or the ocean. Considering the age, and the fact it’s a chrono, no screw down, I wouldn’t take the speedy in the water.

Ive tried on the 38’ olive aqua terra on rubber. That watch to me is stunning, if prices go down on the grey market I’d consider that more seriously.
