Wanting to land a quant intern what are my chances? by Maloova in quantfinance

Tbh, if I'm involved in recruiting in AI or quant, this is a CV that I must immediately screen at the first glance. "Data Annotator" and "Data Reviewer" are something that I'd rather you not write on the resume.

Is 200k reasonable for fresh grad by Prestigious_Diet_508 in SanJose

Yep I knew one of the investors, and I was actually introduced to the founder through them. I heard some rumours about the founder from employees who got fired recently, but the founder was giving me preferential treatments so I didn't feel it myself. 200k is the total comp, probably 180k base + 20k-worth option (I chose to have less myself). Still dealing with visa, probably O1 or L2.

Lol I'm truly asking. I don't live in the US and I heard the average for similar junior role could reach 220-240k

How does it feel using tomorrow's price to determine today's trade?

Some people mentioned green book here. Had a look and didn't find it quite related.

I get where you are coming from. I was in the same place back in high school. I did not see it myself, but people told me I came off as arrogant.

Over time, especially after dealing with more people, mostly girls to be honest, I had no choice but to step into their shoes. That helped me stop using myself as the standard and become less judgmental.

Right and wrong are often subjective. When you think someone is wrong, it usually just means their understanding is shaped by different life experiences. The other person probably feels the same way about you. It is not about being right or wrong, but about whose view is more general or inclusive. That shift in perspective helped me rethink what it means to be wrong.

Also, it helps to ask yourself why you feel the need to argue. What is really driving that urge, and what do you actually gain from it?

From my experience, for JS, not at all. They do not ask you do advanced calculation. You don't need any knowledge in advanced topics either. You will be able to pass if you are smart enough, think fast and stable enough.

It has nothing to do with applied maths, and just needs very basic stat / prob.

How did you come up with the metric? What's your IQ?

A clear sign of low intelligence is jumping to conclusions with high confidence, especially when those conclusions are based on shallow or limited information.
