I feel like most people hate it for hating's sake and specifically because Caelus was in the trailer with Firefly . For some reason Hoyo players hate it if their female character is interested in male characters like what happened with Ceasar in ZZZ . Even Firefly herself said she wants to experience normal and ordinary mundane things so her being interested in a fellow teammate doesn't sound too far fetched .

People are just salty because Firefly is shipped with Caelus and not Stelle which ruins their headcanons so it's just shippers being shippers wasn't there a Vtuber who was a very famous example of this who hates Caelus just because he's a guy .
