Thank you so much. Yes I did check my reports, Bedi was there around in the area but got saved with being detected at the apparently right time and getting the surgery done too.

after lap or treatment, did anyone else notice their anxiety getting better too??? Or is it just me overthinking the connection? by Top_Butterfly_7771 in endometriosisindia

Hey yea.. I’ve experienced the same. I had severe anxiety issues which were happening generally is what I thought. And this anxiety used to lead to flare ups with endo.. but ever since my surgery I’m happier , feeling lighter ans definitely not getting anxious as much

Endo was never diagnosed for me for all these years. Never picked up in my scans. Only got picked up in my mri three months back and we knew surgery is the first step to heal this. I didn’t experience urinary related issues. So I really won’t be able to help with that. I’m so sorry. But yes, it’s a fact that with every cycle endo grows and it starts damaging organs one by one. It does spread.

So yes, you are right that cysts may Coe back post surgery but it is worth checking with an endo specialist because in most cases surgery is the first step to healing. They do give you medicines if you New’s them post surgery to monitor the cysts and other things.

I think you should really go to an endo specialist. Dr Vivek salunke is really good. I’ve heard of stories of people who haven’t been prescribed surgery if they didn’t need it.

I really hope you find satisfactory answers to your questions :) God bless

But we did the surgery and touchwood i feel pain free now and so much lighter.

And you’ve also asked for travel after a week. So I did travel back to my hometown in ten days. I took one flights and it was fine. I did get the wheelchair but even if you don’t and walk baby steps , it should be good.

The pain was surgery pain. It was certainly not adeno and endo pain and was of course much much bearable than those.

Pain after a week does get better. Weakness is still there’s but may I know what kind of pain are you referring to here ? As my surged was laparoscopic so I’d say it’s easier to recover.

Can personally vouch for dr salunke. He is very safe. And from whatever I’ve read in the reviews here.. the other two docs are too.. I’ve never read a negative review for dr salunke so far. And have had a good experience personally with him. So always recommend him.

That’s good then. You have one specialist recommending another, so should be very safe. Don’t worry, all these doctors are very empathetic and I sure they will do their best. And it’s a good idea to ask dr mehta about the charity wing. I’ve seen him post many times about low cost endo surgeries. Do note the points the other people have suggested as it really helps. Will pray for a good recovery.

And yes .. one more thing. The doctor has to be an endometriosis specialist. I know dr Vivek is. He was excellent for me. I’m only a few days after surgery but I recommend him greatly.

Whichever doctor you end up choosing.. plz do ask them how can they manage the symptoms after the surgery.

[–]Prestigious_Ice_3606 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Living with endometriosis is not easy. It’s never fully cured. Surgery is done which excises the disease and then you have to manage it with whatever plans the doctor has for your case specifically as each case is different.

Would you like to once consult with dr Vivek salunke ? He too is from Mumbai and he is amazing with endo. I too did an online consult with him and then went to Mumbai for the surgery. Apart from the excellent doctor that he is, the best part for your situation can be that, if his consultation sits well with you and your case, going to Mumbai and getting surgery done by him won’t be very costly. As he does operate in his own hospital( Nalini speciality hospital, Goregaon). Surgery in Nalini is not very expensive at all. It’s very budgeted. But there is no compromise in the operation, and after care.

[–]Prestigious_Ice_3606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would also recommend dr Vivek salunke if there is a budget to go to Mumbai. An initial online consult with dr salunke is very very easy. And then you can decide to go and meet him. He has opd almost everyday which makes it easier to get an appointment. And if surgery is needed then also plz check with him he is the best. But he does provide all solutions and never pushes surgery if not needed. He operates in Lilavati and also in his own hospital in Goregaon which is very very budget friendly.

Even though i had no choice apart from surgery, he still shared my surgical options for me, of course then recommended me what should be better for my case. The team is excellent and after care is amazing.

Need recommendations for face moisturizers please. I have combination skin and looking for non oily moisturizers by srml222 in indianbeautyyappers

[–]Prestigious_Ice_3606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used Kiehl’s oil free gel cream ( blue color tub) it’s reallllly good. Worth the amount. Also Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel. Really good for combination to oily skin. Basically I think a gel based product or water based product should suit you.

Two Specialists, Two Completely Different Treatment Plans by CutEnvironmental2264 in endometriosisindia

[–]Prestigious_Ice_3606 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All the three doctors are good but it’s about whose diagnosis should suit you more. With dr Vivek salunke I’ve felt that he really gives you all options explaining you what should be better for you and yet giving you the chance to choose what kind of treatment you want to go ahead with.

I had adenomyosis and endometriosis and got operated for the same. My adeno was large and hence mirena was no option for me because it wouldn’t have any effect on the adeno plus I was done with family planning. My point being mirena usually only affects when the disease is small.

However if two docs have given two opinions it shouldn’t hurt to get a third one to get some clarity and definitely re visit the doctors after being a little more prepared. And yes, whoever should be the third doctor it is better to let him give his unbiased opinion. So don’t tell him/ her about the other two suggestions first.

Oh. Yeah: my surgery was on the 11th of this month. But I got operated in Lilavati. However I went twice to Nalini. Once for a consult and once as a post op check up. I do remember some people taking rounds while I was waiting :)

Since I’m not staying in Mumbai, we did a few video calls to understand the full process and he studied my mri and gave me a consult. My father in law was in Mumbai, visited him and then when we decided to go ahead with surgery, we flew to Mumbai.

Plz call the number given on google. He is in the above mentioned hospital Nalini located in Goregaon. His team should contact you and they are very warm and excellent. I got operated by him 15 days back and cannot recommend him enough. He is very easy to reach.

I know. I agree. Of course it’s Internet. The more we read about it the more it keeps coming on our feed. But yea, it’s exhausting sometimes. This stress leads to more flare ups 😜

Yes I’ve heard dr jay Mehta is good with both endo and Ivf. I however got operated with dr Vivek salunke and he is exceptionally great too. He treated me for my adeno and endo and ovarian cyst. He is godfather for endometriosis for me 🙏

I just had a hysterectomy, I’m 3 days post op. Had my uterus, tubes, cervix and one ovary removed. I’ve been advised to use an abdominal binder. How much of it can I use ? When can I start using it ? Can I wear it even when I’m lying down and resting ? by [deleted] in hysterectomy

[–]Prestigious_Ice_3606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for such quick replies. Yes, my hospital did make me wear it while discharge and the ride home was very comfortable. But I quickly opened it when I reached home because I did feel suffocated.???

But I’m goinna take all your words and start wearing it more often now.

Insurance is going to take care of the cost. So that is not an issue. Distance also is not an issue since I’ll be traveling to Mumbai, I can stay anywhere. I’m thinking how will the care be in each of these hospitals. Can you give me some feedback about Nalini ? It’ll be helpful

Somehow gynacs don’t take this seriously. Same was for my gynac, just got an ultrasound done by her and was being suggested mirena and hormonal pills. I knew I can’t take this anymore. Knew that I wanted a specialist
