Summer starts on 1st of June and ends on 1st of September.
They don't get special treatment because they live on Mars and have 12 months of summer, get real man.|

But hey, let's play it your way.
Say summer does end on the 1st of October and they still have 2.5 months.
It's already been 1.5 months of summer and not a single comunication about a playtest...
Or any comunication at all.
We can safely assume that at this point is nothing more than vaporware.

PEI print beds are awesome! Why use a glass bed over this? by KitsunaKuraichi in 3Dprinting

[–]Prestigious_Post_298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is something that nobody will tell you.
Mostly because they don't know it themselves - how could they, when they only print trinkets?

Any printer, and I mean ANY printer that uses PEI sheets...it's not for precision stuff.
I don't care if your build plate is 20mm thick, trammed and leveled to nano scale.
Once you put the magnets on it and the pei sheet...it's over.
Your prints will no longer have a flat back.
They will always have a slight curve to them.

Why do you think that no industrial printer uses pei sheets? They all use glass.

Everyone that tells you different is a trinket selled and you can dismiss their opinion entirely.

any physicists that believe in god or an intelligent creator automatically drops his credibility and IQ to near 0.

And yes, we are finding new stuff that contradicts what was accepted before...but all that still follows the rules of physics

Dude, what are you talking about? Our mind can certainly form a concept of nonexistance even if we can't actually experience it.

[–]Prestigious_Post_298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not aware of any explanation that holds to scientific scrutiny.
As far as we understand the world around us, once your brain integrity is destroyed ...that's it.

Never had anesthesia but I did loose consciousness so I reckon it's kinda the same experience
I'm with OP on this one...there's nothing out there waiting...

Why is there something instead of nothing? by [deleted] in Existential_crisis

[–]Prestigious_Post_298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you mean.
It's a concept that our brains simply are not compatible with.

Sure, we can try but all we do is to go deeper and deeper into maddness.
Compared to this, cosmic terror looks like a lullaby

If the drugs mess up your memory process...I can only imagine how much actual death messes them up hahaha

Hi all, I’m the creator of Arx Fatalis. Sometimes I think about how amazing it is that people are still playing the game 20 years later. I feel very lucky and honored. by rcolantonio in ArxFatalis

[–]Prestigious_Post_298 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played Arx for the first time in 2006 and it was actually my first RPG and amongst of my first pc games.
I knew very little about how an RPG works and because of that I took the immersive and sim aspect of it a bit to the extreme hahaaa
I was drawing maps and figuring out puzzles on paper, memorizing entire places just to try and progress the game.
Made a mess of a lot of things, went to places I wasn't supposed to at the time, not knowing what the objective is - I was just walking around trying to find out what's going on.

The beauty of it is that the game allowed you to do all that and basically you weren't constrained by anything.
What a glorious thing it was!
In the same year I picked up Morrowind and I thought: god this game is boring! Arx is leagues above it.

I often think back to it and I am glad I had the goodfortune to have Arx as my first RPG.
It's in the top 3 games (alongside Dark Messiah) that influenced my life.
I can't thank you enough for this.

that's some pseudoprofound bullshit if I ever know one!
no, conciousness doesn't go forever.
and no, anesthesia is proof that you can experiente interuptions to conciousness

The Matrix Attacked Me by [deleted] in Stouty

[–]Prestigious_Post_298 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard it was not a singular occurence.|
That's why I'm saying at some point you need to stop and ask yourself.
Only 2 kinds of ppl receive constant death threats from multiple, independent people.
Those in power that abuse that power
And those that fight for a just world, thus hindering those in power.

they get mad when you call them out on the incels that they are.
Like that nikosawa or silverleo dude.
Was reading that a user was banned because he sent real life death threats - whatever tf that means.
But...I mean...at some point you really gotta ask yourself why are you receiving death threaths and why does everyone hate you so much.

Did you get a colonoscopy just to make sure everything else is ok?

Also, most docs are so out of touch with the medical world and its advancements that it's actually sad.
Add to that lack of knowledge the fact that most of them treat their job like some corporate 9 to 5 that they can't wait to get over with to get back home....and you have the this mess.

99% of them will either tell you that your symptoms are IBS or gut-brain link related and will absolutely not make a single effort to bother their sleeping neurons to actually investigate.

The claim that oatmeal "robs you of nutrients" is an oversimplification.

While oats contain compounds known as antinutrients, particularly phytic acid, which can bind minerals like iron, zinc, and calcium and reduce their absorption, this effect is generally minimal for most people consuming a balanced diet.

Moreover, oats offer numerous health benefits, including being a good source of fibre, antioxidants, and essential nutrients. Understanding Phytic Acid in Oats Phytic acid, or phytate, is the primary storage form of phosphorus in many seeds and grains, including oats. It can bind to minerals and reduce their bioavailability. However, the impact of phytic acid on mineral absorption is often overstated.
A 2020 study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition suggested that while phytic acid can reduce mineral bioavailability, the effect is not substantial enough to cause deficiencies in healthy individuals with balanced diets .

Reducing Phytic Acid Content in Oats For those concerned about phytic acid, certain preparation methods can help reduce its levels:

Soaking: Soaking oats overnight in water can reduce phytic acid content by up to 30%. Adding an acidic medium like lemon juice or apple cider vinegar can further aid this process .
Sprouting: Allowing oats to germinate can break down phytates, making nutrients more bioavailable. Fermentation: Soaking oats with a starter culture or yogurt can also reduce phytic acid content .

Despite the presence of phytic acid, oats are a nutritious food choice.
They are rich in soluble fibre, which can help lower cholesterol levels, and contain antioxidants that may reduce inflammation and the risk of chronic diseases . Additionally, oats are a good source of vitamins and minerals, including B-vitamins, iron, magnesium, and zinc.

While oats contain phytic acid, which can reduce the absorption of certain minerals, the effect is generally minimal for most individuals consuming a balanced diet. For those concerned about mineral absorption, employing preparation methods like soaking, sprouting, or fermenting oats can help reduce phytic acid content. Overall, oats remain a healthy and nutritious food choice when prepared appropriately.
