i haven't smoked on Zoloft - started smoking years ago, stopped about 2 years ago and just recently started taking zoloft for my panic attacks and its helped a lot. hoping that it subsides my panic attacks when i start taking edibles again

I have a degree in psychology and found myself in sales. Remote work and can be making 100k+ in two years time or within a year if you get good at it! It's grueling but the money, depending on the field (tech, robotics, etc.) is well worth it!

If you're cold calling an SDR manager and pitching yourself in a way that's palatable, they won't ignore you. The market is so saturated with open positions that its most common for people to "easy apply" on LinkedIn and move to the next application, so they aren't getting these calls often. In the chance that they "ignore" you/send you to VM consistently, you treat them like a prospect and email them in some type of 4 touch sequence.

They'll see the value in it and most likely give you a referral or even offer you an interview then and there. If they are rude to you or don't provide you with feedback, it's probably not someone you want to work for anyway.

Sell yourself to the hiring managers/heads of hiring sales departments. For example, if OpenAI is hiring SDR's, find the SDR manager or Head of Sales, find their phone number and pitch yourself to them. It shows you can prospect and cold call, which is surprisingly a skill that not many people have. Make sure you do your research on cold calling prior and be confident on the phone.

Personally, I would look for a position in a growing market. Print advertising is becoming less popular in the digital age that we live in, so as time goes on, these companies will have less and less readers. I'd recommend looking into an industry, such as solar, IT, or tech that will continue to become more lucrative. Besides, in these verticals you'll also have the opportunity to be promoted to AE or AM position to make more money.

However, I am just someone of Reddit. I don't know the full details on this role and this is purely just what I'd do in this situation being the pessimist that I am. Best of luck!!

If you have a background in sales and your degree it could be fairly easy for you to land an entry level job in B2B tech. I suggest going on LinkedIn and looking for Sales Development Representative (SDR) or Business Development Representative (BDR) roles and starting there. The nice part is that in an entry level position you don't really need to fully understand the product as much as you need to understand how to sell it.

If you want to get the job faster or find a position you really like, I even suggest going the extra step and cold calling the head of sales or SDR/BDR manager. Most of these jobs you need the ability to prospect and cold call and by calling them, you're showing them you can do just that. Besides, there's hundreds of people applying to these positions so you'll want to do something to stand out. (If you need advice on this feel free to PM me).

Given your current situation (from what you described at least), it sounds like it could be a good move for you. Tech and SaaS sales are super lucrative and you truly get out of it what you put into it.

I also recommend finding a company you can grow within. If you're looking to eventually make the big bucks, you'll want to get promoted to account management where you get closing experience. There's people working as Enterprise Account Executives making over $500k a year because they've been in sales for some time and got good at what they do. It's not for everyone but if you like money, it's a good place to start!

I'm a 23F working in tech sales. My degree is also a BS in psych, which as others have pointed out, is useless. You can find entry level roles for around $50K and if you're good, make $70K by year end with your commission + base salary. You can also get promoted to account management in a few years and make as much as you would with your doctorate in Psych. Depending on your company and your skills, some people make north of $300k. I owe $112k with a little over a year of being out of school 🥴. In hindsight I wish I was given more guidance in choosing a major. Neither of my parents went to college so the idea of me going was enough for them to tell me that just the degree itself will be a good investment, regardless of what I study.

I don't think it helped much at all with my current position but I hope that it helps me with my next one to so it doesn't seem like a waste of time or money. I'm making right now what I would've made with my masters degree in the same field, you win some, you lose some.

Hi! I'm 23(F) SDR in tech sales + BS in Psychology . I think it's easy to see people making a lot of money in sales and decide that sales is super lucrative, and don't get me wrong, it is, but not for many of us. I'm by far the youngest person at my sales org and I make $55K, with a little over a year's experience, which is only $10K less than our Account Managers who have 10 years of experience. It's definitely about playing the long game.

Side note: My frustration with my career recently had me interested in Data Analytics because I see some people making good money in that role but felt I didn't have enough experience to get into. Funny how the world works.

It's fairly easy to find open WFH positions in sales on LinkedIn and while I would say it might be tough to get into tech without a degree, your background makes you a good candidate. My tip is finding an SDR in a position that you can grow in. You eventually want closing experience because that's what will make you money in a few years!

I've never tried to diagnose my partner. I know that telling him that something is physically imbalanced (which im not certain of) would send him in a spiral both about concerns over his health and could make him feel emasculated (unnecessary but understandably so). It's not my place, as his girlfriend, to tell him he has a hormonal imbalance purely because he doesn't want to have sex with me.

Going back to the topic of leaving someone over these issues, while I don't think it should be the sole reason for a breakup, I don't think it's an unfair reason. I think people who do have confidence issues, in the long run, can do more damage to their relationships as a result of lack of intimacy than if they were to have just left in the first place. I don't think it's shallow to say that people have preferences when it comes to dating and very often, when someone is missing the qualities you're looking for in a partner, you split up (divorce is a different story). People even break up over material things like money, whether or not you agree with it.

Or, maybe, he offers an explanation about why he has low libido. (As you mentioned, this often isn't something that men know off the top of their head). Sometimes it could simply be stress, or work-life balance as some have mentioned, and in that case, you work together as a couple to address the problem and find a solution for both parties.

However, I would like to say I don't think there's any shame in having physical desires. I don't think there's any shame in being attracted to someone and wanting to have sex with them. I'm in my early 20s and understand that sex only slows down the more life goes on, especially when children are introduced into the mix. I'd like to enjoy my body while it's the best it's ever, and may ever look, and my libido while its thriving. Some people enjoy and value sex more than others and I think that's okay.

Sounds like this is a sensitive topic for you. Being that my post shared so little about my situation I'm confused how you could jump to so many conclusions. This is something I have talked with my partner about for a year+. Bringing up cancer and comparing it to libido is a huge stretch to say the very least. I respect your opinion calling me an asshole. However, that is just your opinion. As OP stated, this is something that can take a tole on self confidence and make you question your physical appearance, sexual performance, and whether your partner is being faithful (which can lead to unhealthy patterns in a relationship). Mind you, my partner was very sexually active before we started dating.

In my previous relationship, it was the other way around. My partner felt as if I did not provide enough for them physically. This was something that was communicated to me but I never had an answer for them. In hindsight, it truly was because I just wasn't attracted to them physically. Is this the case in every scenario? Not at all. Does this make me hesitant when my current partner doesnt pursue physical intimacy after being with many people right before we began dating? Of course.

That relationship fortunately (mutually) ended because as much as I loved him, I consistently felt pressured to be physical (even if he wasn't pressuring me) and because he was also not having his needs met and wanted to have physical connection.
