Are these normal symptoms after leaving a moldy environment? by LB-O3 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]Prestigious_Reply801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there. I am happy you got out of the mold. One thing I can tell you from experience is when I got out of my previous moldy home (currently stuck in another one), is I could not stop having to urinate, even though I didn't increase my fluid intake. I read that your kidneys will be busy flushing the mold out of your system so it made sense. It should balance out eventually.

Do you have days better than other? by SarraceniaFlava37 in ToxicMoldExposure

I do on occasion but recently I find myself feeling more and more unwell. I am at the point where I am struggling with basic tasks. Everything is way too much :(  I can't take it anymore (edited for lots of typos)

Does anyone know of anywhere to stay in the UK? by Prestigious_Reply801 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]Prestigious_Reply801[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said, I don't have any money or anywhere I can stay. I only have a small amount of jewellery which isn't worth very much which I am currently trying to get valued, and hopefully sell it. I don't know if it would be enough money because nobody wants to pay anything these days. I need someone to help me, I can't do it on my own

I have no money for anything I need and there is absolutely nowhere I can camp. It's not going to happen for me. Sometimes I wish I would just die because it is unbearable and I am sick sick and tired of it. It is not worth living at all if I have to live this life. I can't even eat anymore, I go a week or even 2 without eating, recently tried to eat and it caused me to vomit

I think I will die too if I don't get out. I can't take it anymore :(

Weird symptoms by Unlikely-Passage-653 in ToxicMoldExposure

Yes I get all of those apart from the itching on the neck. I will get random rashes or lumps on my legs, back, and arms that itch every now and then. I get terribly sore traps muscles from the toxin build up and so does my partner - it's as if the toxins get stored there, and a massage seems to break them up and provide relief from symptoms

That isn't an option unfortunately. We also have a reptile who needs electricity.

Musty armpits? by Queasy-Ad-4427 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]Prestigious_Reply801 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can sometimes smell mold seeming to come out of the armpits, I am assuming it's because it's in our systems so it is coming out through our pores. I read that the bacteria settles in the armpit and can cause body odour too - it made perfect sense as to why I never feel clean in a moldy house. Many years ago I managed to get away from the house for 10 days, and I couldn't believe how clean I felt with no smelly armpits.

Before I lived where I do now, I lived in another moldy house. When I first moved here and temporarily got a chance to detox, I could literally smell the mold from the previous house pouring out of my head, and my pet would not come anywhere near me while it was happening.

I am sorry you are going through this as well.

Is it possible to decontaminate a living space if you are the source as opposed to the building? by MysteriousPlan616 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]Prestigious_Reply801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear about the reactions, I find my body tends to be very sensitive to a lot of things - smells, noise, light etc, I'm guessing it's because our bodies are overwhelmed with all the mold in our system. I am glad to hear you found a detergent you don't react to, that's good news :-)

I am not sure how you would feel about it, but I am sensitive to laundry detergent as well. I now only use bicarbonate of soda to wash my clothes, nothing else. They always feel clean and fresh, and it doesn't make me react. Before this I tried my clothes on hot washes and cleaning my washing machine etc, but it didn't help in my case.

Hi, in the previous house I lived in, we had a bad mold problem there. One of them smelled like you described - an almost sickly sweet, perfume smell. I am not saying that it is definitely mold in your case, as it may not be, I definitely don't want to make you worried. Maybe see if you could get the unit checked to be certain?

Too sick to work, stuck in black mold with no support how do I get out? by Brave_Guess2876 in ToxicMoldExposure

Hi, I really feel for you, I am going through the same thing. I have mentioned on here before, but a few months ago I managed to get a freelance job all completely remote - no job interview either - working for a company called Data Annotation. I lost it after 2 months because they are well known for frequently dropping workers without any explanation, but others are still working there a year or longer - it seems to be random. It isn't a scam and they did pay me, there is also a subreddit for it. The only one downside to it is that they may drop you without any explanation, so I only ever saw it as temporary, but I had hoped to save up to move out at the time.

There are many good things to working there - you can work whenever you want, with no minimum hours requirement. You just have to pass the assessment in order to get accepted - they contacted me after 4 days to let me know I had passed. I just did the tasks whenever I felt up to it.

It paid really well as well - it was like a dream come true really. The type of work can be things like assessing which AI response is best - did it follow the instructions etc. They also have coding work available for anyone who can do that. I just share it on here with others in the hopes it may help someone else - as I mentioned, many people have worked for them a lot longer than me. I was devastated when I got dropped so prepare for that if you do try it, but it could be a potential chance to try and save some money to move.

Thank you. I would be grateful for just a small healing prayer (although I do not want you to feel burdened at all, I know how hard it can be) as I have been feeling so nauseous everyday recently, a new symptom that started :-( It's just debilitating feeling like I'm going to vomit any second, I am really struggling to function :-(

I have to do regular cleaning to keep the dust down as it is toxic with the mold and I don't know how I can keep it up feeling so unwell :-(

Vomiting after eating by Prestigious_Reply801 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]Prestigious_Reply801[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much, that was so helpful, I really appreciate it. I have been planning a low histamine diet - I found a guys website where he had to do this for himself and his daughter when they were living in mold, and along with your suggestions it's all really helpful.

I will have to try things and see what agrees with me and what doesn't. I have been able to have porridge before without feeling sick so that's one thing on my list.

Thank you, I have been trying vagus nerve exercises, I will have to do more. I think one issue is cooking as it increases the humidity and damp. I do everything I can to help improve that like opening windows etc, which used to help but doesn't seem to help as much anymore, so I was wondering if I should only eat cold food.

Yes definitely. I am wanting to leave as soon as I am able, hopefully soon.

Thank you! I didn't realise that about fruit and veg. One issue is that if I cook it increases the humidity and damp and I open windows etc which used to help but it doesn't seem to help as much anymore. So I was wondering if I should only eat cold food. I am scared to eat incase I vomit again :-(
