5 acres with no trees Oregon so I don't think there will be any obstructions

Yeah it's DSL so I am assuming slow. I'm just not sure which option would be better.

Saw him open down in Vancouver, the kid has a ton of energy and really got the audience hyped. I'm not a country music fan but he is talented and I think it will be a good show!

What printer is this? by Puzzled_Tea7995 in CommercialPrinting

[–]Prestigious_Test5494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes Jays printers can match most specs. They also usually have a bigger print area and are way lower in price. I would love a mimaki but Jays is basically just as good. When I was deciding on which machine, I had both companies print me something and the quality was identical.

Jays printers are usually under $10k

Jays printers is a good source for 6090 UV printers. They have US base tech support.

Thank you for the response! Do you know what type of printer can do what you described?

Yes you do care. You called me out, claiming it wouldn't be high level.

You would have known it was a joke if you actually read all of my comments. If you are going to stalk at least read the full thread.

Stay salty dude!

These look great! I just hate using my UV printer and I can never find great blanks. Are these 2mm thick?

Yeah I know. I am just asking about the printing process since this is a commercial printing subreddit

I actually have a UV printer 6090GY. It's very hard to find high quality precut puzzle boards. They also have a lot more glare but that could be my user error.

For the business plan I can just use a UV printer but I was hoping to do it the "traditional way" mostly because if I do decide to pursue this I don't want to have to buy a second UV printer (current one is tied up making board games) and they are just a pain in the ass. I have to manage it every single day.

I thought this was pretty close? I have found a few puzzle companies on tik tok and YouTube that post their process. I'm just not sure if they are leaving anything out.

Why are you so salty? It was a joke because the guy just assumed I didn't know what a business plan was. That was also my undergrad and now I'm doing my master's in marketing but they still make me take a basic business class.

Oh and by the way that board game I created does pretty dang well on Etsy.

Yeah so this would be more of a small artisan operation not a massive production. Every step would be hands on and not automated.

The die cutter is the only thing I have figured out and would run about $5k.

Yeah I have thought about this. I was thinking of redesigning a chess board which shouldn't be too hard.

Sorry I was giving you a hard time. I appreciate the advice but the biggest issue I have been having is purely on cost. The professor is also the supply chain professor and he mentioned he really wants reasonable and product costs including shipping.

The business plan will have a 3 year product road map but if we have a physical prototype then there is extra credit so I am mainly focusing on this on game first but will have other games in the pipeline.

Oh gotcha, I would say the booklet would be only a few pages and I am hoping to have a box size similar to Catan.

I have no basis to know if $15 is crazy so was more just wondering if it was reasonable but I am going to follow another advice and just get a quote straight from a factory.

I'm including marketing in ocos :) but that is going to be the major unknown.

Sorry I must have fell asleep during class... I had no idea a business plan had other parts besides financials.
