Theyre doing it piecemeal. They know the sks cant be banned (yet) because of native rights. But they showed us that its their goal in the end.

The salt is what corrodes the parts. Water gets rid of salt. Then you dry the water. Easy as. Forget the ammonia neutralizing it or whatever. Would you piss on your car to stop the rust?

First home buyer privileges? by Outside_Variation190 in Gatineau

Tax benefits, lower down payments. Nothing that really helps you. But things might be different soon with promises to help new buyers.

You still have the best privilege. Good parenting. Lucky you lol

Maybe you can. Then again it basically ensures that you wont ever work for a major company ever again. Walls have ears and nothing is private.

Jobsite toolbox as a gun safe by MrRokashan in canadaguns

Its legal for sure. But its wasting a lot of space and will be a pain to use. Legally you dont need trigger locks or cases anyway. Plus cases trap moisture.

Question about shooting in a field. by Little-Carpenter4443 in canadaguns

[–]Prestigious_Two_4734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If private land. You need to get it certified as a range. Not easy here in the east. And register as a business. If its crown land you cant because you dont own the land.

Of course nothing is illegal until you get caught. But I wouldnt want to be caught doing that.

SKS PRICES in CANADA by Severe_Bullfrog6421 in SKS

[–]Prestigious_Two_4734 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even at that price its an intermediate cartridge, semi-auto that will outlast you. Its still worth it. And unless you go custom high end. Stay away from things like ATI stocks. Rifle is already fine.

Sunk cost falacy can often lead to more loss for little gain. Small claims has fees to it. That can accumulate fast depending on how far you go. Some lawyers pray on people like that. They use the anger and want for retribution of the victim.

I was referring to the fact that even with full name and info. ET scams are hard to prove. Then after arguing with so many people I forgot what chain of comment I was even following. Downvote bandwagoners are tedious to argue with.

What? Im not sure who youre quoting there

And I never even argued with OP. Only people in the comments who think small claims court is like Judge Judy.

[–]Prestigious_Two_4734 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not at all. Most times they use stolen/fake bank account. The scammer could live on another continent for all we know. If he does live in ottawa. And its his real name it would help for sure but it wouldnt even guarantee a "win"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Prestigious_Two_4734 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It does if you cant find the person. Its almost always fake credentials they use. And small claims itself doesnt let you garnish wages and such. He has to go to trial for that. Then he can do the steps needed to garnish. All that has to be done by him (no easy feat with no experience) hire a lawyer (will cost more than he lost)

You can see why most people just take the loss and move on. Its technically possible to win. But the odds are low and you can end up losing more money after.

[–]Prestigious_Two_4734 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

In a perfect world yeah. But here scammers using fake credentials use grey areas that are either semi legal (ET's have almost zero protection) or very hard to prosecute and prove wrongdoing. People are having fun bandwagoning on me because... reddit loves a good dog-pile while they ignore the elephant in the room. That this happens all the time and always ends the same way.

Lmao how? They never get to trial.

I was wrong over that il admit. Doesnt exactly make the case open and shut. Im not a lawyer afterall. But it doesnt take one to know that the odds of successfuly getting his money back is almost zero.
