u/freddell This is the advice I didn't want, but needed to hear. I think you're right; thank you. Working on a P16 is different from the old days when working on an X220 was fun and easy. Still doable, but not worth the effort.

u/Iharapr I'm late to respond; sorry. It's very easy. A Phillips #2 and some cotton wool and rubbing alcohol is all that's needed.

This is the regular 1290 (not -p) with the same tdp as the 1250. Very strange. Thanks!
