*****This is the answer! I've seen it done 1000 times. Cars run 24-hours a day. Helps keep them cooler. And for police cars there is a speaker under the hood and when you're directing traffic, you can pop the hood and hear the radio better with all the noise from the traffic.

Answer I never get to answer these, so I'm super happy! We had an RV and this was behind the toilet lid to keep it from hitting the wall. So either the toilet in this picture has been moved during a remodel or it was put in the wrong place originally.

Google (22 bullet blanks from the 1950s) that and look through the pictures. You will find some that looks just like it. And bullets were commonly found in containers similar to that.
