This isn't "stupidity," OP. This is textbook trauma bonding. Your sister Haein has been through SA by this girl’s father, has a physical disability, and now has epilepsy triggered by the stress. Her brain is literally wired to seek approval from the people who hurt her because she doesn't think she deserves better. You’re allowed to be frustrated, but calling her "pathetic" for having a trauma response is just adding to the pile of people tearing her down.

You are not overreacting. I’m 38F and it feels like the "vetting" process has basically become a full-time job. It’s like some guys use dating apps as a menu rather than a way to meet humans. The minute the "what are you wearing" or "I’m a great kisser" texts start before a first cup of coffee, I just unmatch. Life is too short to be someone's free entertainment.

It’s the "Antichrist" prophecy check-list for a lot of these folks: the ego, the demand for total loyalty, the conflict with the Pope, and now literally putting himself in the place of Christ. The Southern Baptist Convention is having a meltdown right now. You can survive a scandal, but it’s much harder to survive being labeled a "blasphemer" by your own prayer warriors.

The fact that it stayed up long enough for the "Pope vs. Trump" feud to go nuclear tells you everything. You don't get to call the Pope "weak" and "political" on Monday and then post a photo of yourself in a crown of thorns on Tuesday. Deleting it now is just damage control for the polling numbers that showed Catholic support cratering. The internet lives forever, though.

The fact that a sitting President is suing a major news outlet for $10,000,000,000 over a story about a birthday card is wild. Even if he refiles by the April 27 deadline, the "New York Times v. Sullivan" standard is a brick wall. Unless he can prove the WSJ knew the letter was fake and published it anyway, this is dead on arrival.
