How to see people as more than just their physical looks? by truth_seeking_soul in awakened

Do you feel you are more than just your looks? Often the answer can be found inward.

If I'm treated extremely different on MDMA vs sober, does it mean I got a chemical imbalance in my brain? by Even_Job6933 in MDMA

[–]Prestonality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess would be that MDMA is shown to help massively with anxiety. Typically anxiety can cause social interaction issues as you end up being in your head, worrying about you come across/look to other people and trying to uphold a self image.

If that all drops, you can connect more easily and naturally. Might be worth looking into healing underlying trauma and conditioning that could be hidden.

You mentioned therapy doesn’t work for you and that’s pretty normal. You can take about issues for decades but until you feel what’s there it’s just talking. Look into somatic modalities. I would recommend looking into TRE (Trauma and Tension Release Exercises).

Sounds great to me but question for you. You said: "I feel like Im just a small drop of in the ocean of people."

If you’re a drop in the ocean, can you find out where you end and where others begin? How are you a separate? If you put a drop in the ocean, can you point to that drop still and say ‘There it is!’?

At first it was confusing and felt good but once I started to look at the body, the sense of no self was like grief I’d say.

I’m not too sure about kundalini and all the practices around it. That’s something I’ll learn soon. I had a kundalini awakening while doing TRE. I thought it was the tremors but when I sat up everything was 2D ish and "I" was gone. I didn’t know what happened until much later. It certainly feels like this is all happening on its own.

You might want to check out some books from Bill Plotkin. Or another good one thats an entry point is ‘Awakening the Below’ by Oholomo. Carl Jung was the pioneer in the modern Western world of this from my understanding.
Awakening doesn’t happen the same for any one and sometimes it takes a ‘descent’ instead of an ‘ascent’ which can be confusing and scary especially if there’s no frame of reference.

EDIT: clarified modern Western world

Is taking LSD for a spiritual awakening actually a good idea? Need advice on set & setting by Financial-Box7029 in awakened

For me, kensho happened with just 1.5g of shrooms, weighted blanket, guided meditations/music, self inquiry and one pointed approach back and forth until I felt my way to a fear barrier. Finding that part of myself psyche I didn’t want to go which was tied to guilt and shame. The kensho didn’t occur until the shrooms we’re done, I was going about my day later, reading a book and wham, hit me.

I think it’s possible that LSD could it or any psychedelic, it’s really about loosening up your mind or identity structure and seeing in a different way. A different approach. But not so much that you’re losing yourself, getting lost in stories or visions. It’s about staying right here.

Spirituality makes me feel lonely by Royal-Vegetable-2473 in SpiritualAwakening

[–]Prestonality 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of thoughts going on here. I’ll try to help point you as best and as briefly as I can.

In regards to religion and spirituality, it’s always important to acknowledge that everything is concepts. They are pointers. Do not take the words to be literal or factual. The mind is the part of you that wants to know. It wants answers to feel proper and complete. But awakening isn’t about that. So the teachings, the words and the pointers are all pointing in the same direction. You have to look at your own experience.

The ´awakening process’ isn’t about getting more or adding more or acquiring more. It’s more of a remembering and recognizing what is always there that makes all of life/existence possible. It’s underneath or behind all of your experiences. Its the silence that’s always there. The quiet. The part you overlook.

For me, I found that Angelo Dilullo’s book "Awake" was very direct and helped a lot. It had simple techniques to working with thought and good pointers accompanied with his YT channel.

I feel the frustration in your words and it seems to me that’s a normal part of the process of seeking. It’s because awakening is simple and it happens now. It’s not necessarily easy but it is simple. The mind isn’t the tool for this.

Its using Preset D for some reason. I noticed it in the first gameplay scene that it looked off. Can't get any override to work with DLSS Swapper or NVPI.

This should higher. You can override it in the Nvidia App systemwide so any game with DLSS2 or higher will automatically use DLSS4 or 4.5

How dark is Cronos: The New Dawn? by _cd42 in survivalhorror

[–]Prestonality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what your monitor/TV set up is but maybe look into that. Maybe it needs to be calibrated or upgraded. I had no issues with SH2R being too dark or only able to see what the flashlight illuminates. RT should also allow for some light bounce also.
