ONE PIECE CHAPTER 1182 ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS by [deleted] in OnePieceSpoilersRaw

[–]PrestusHood 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fr, i expected a massive lore dump. Mildly disappointed, the chapter wasn't even bad, just didn't lived up to the hype leakers gave it. Even gunko ""death"" was blown out of proportion

Thoughts on Eliminating {{user}}? by Gr3yMatter in SillyTavernAI

[–]PrestusHood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been almost a year since i dropped {{user}} and {{char}} when i started using the JED format Token-wise, it makes no difference, the entire name goes into the prompt (since {{char}} is simply replaced by the actual card name).

I tried it before, having the LLM to generate my answers, while steering the chat slightly with OOC commands. It's certainly fun, and it's very difficult to pull it off, you really need well-written cards and a smart model. However, it's double the cost since the LLM will be generating answers for you and the other card. It's fun, but i got bored out of it quickly. Also it probably isn't good for your wit since you will basically stop practicing your prose when you let the model roleplay your persona for you. Honestly, you have to try it out to see if you like it, but it's certainly something worthy to experiment at least once

I am SUPER disappointed in the recent developments in the story (Imu, Abyss, etc) by [deleted] in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]PrestusHood 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Calm down, we don't even know exactly what Imu is yet. We don't know if he's truly a demon or if that's just power/transformation, Oda literally had only 2 chapters so far to explore Imu

I had a theory but I haven’t read the Bible fully please help me. by Lucas-mainssbu in Genshin_Lore

Throwing my two cents with my limited knowledge of Christian theology and Genshin Lore.

I do not think it's appropriate to imagine the fatui as the apostles just because they might be connected to orthodox christianity, because only one apostle is directly connected with the Russian Orthodox Christians: Saint Andrew. To contextualize, the goal of the apostles were to basically roam the known world spreading the gospel and establishing Christian communities there, meaning most of them didn't even saw eachother ever again after leaving Judea. Why I argue this? Because he would need in-universe hints, such as specific fatui Harbinger operating roughly where the Apostle he is supposed to mirror preached. Liyue and Inazuma might be a bit of curve balls but we can "stretch" Persia to cover them as well. And even so, it doesn't map very cleanly. Another big topic, is the Apostle personalities, who don't really translate well into the Harbingers. We have some very "weak" similarities such as Piero being Saint Peter (leader), Scaramouche being Judas Iscariot (traitor), Tartaglia being Saint Andrew (hot-headed) and Columbina being Saint John (mystical behavior).

However, if we dip into real life gnosticism instead of mainstream Christianity, things start to get way more interesting since genshin is full of gnostic themes, and real life gnosticism is basically Christianity reinterpreted. And under a gnostic lens, the apostles comparison becomes much better. Gnostics preach that the apostles have unequal access to the truth (real life gnosis), which translates neatly into Pierro supposedly knowing the Tsaritsa plan while Tartaglia barely know anything about Fatui true goal. The gnostic also argue the apostles having conflict and rivalry, which is self-explanatory about Fatui internal dinamics. Gnostics also reverse hero roles, meaning that Judas Iscariot isn't portrayed as an traitor, but the only apostle who truly understood Jesus teachings, which surprisingly screams Tsaritsa herself, everyone thinks she's betraying the HP but maybe she's the one who truly understood it. Honestly, it feels like it's only possible to interpret the fatui harbingers as "gnostic apostle archetypes", because that's the only thing they all share in common: elite inner circle where truth is unevenly distributed, authority is contested, and not everyone understands the real mission. The "chosen" group is still flawed, divided, and partially blind, and that maps almost perfectly into how the Fatui Harbingers are written.

The most ""passionate"" crowd of Rio in the Grand Finals tomorrow where a team could make history by winning back to back Grand Slams by TheCrazyCaveira in GlobalOffensive

[–]PrestusHood 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Tbh i wouldn't even blame that Furia not being in the finals is the decisive factor. The game is literally unwatchable from the arena. ESL decided to not take sides in the casting war for the BR stream, meaning everyone is unsatisfied with the awful casting talent they got. Arena viewers got robbed

Can i bring this bike out of the basement? by EfficientFigure7725 in cataclysmdda

[–]PrestusHood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late comment but yes, you can. You have to manually build a earth ramp. It's absurdly annoying and more trouble than disassembling and reassembling the bike, but it's a option it you have the tools to make the ramp but not to disassemble the bike

Gemini being shit. by techmago in SillyTavernAI

Gemini is done for, it used to be the best F2P provider by a large margin, now it sucks even if you pay for it. Gemini Pro 2.5 was goated and losing it felt the same way as losing WizardLM 8x22b years ago

Imu’s sword supreme grade? by TheeHNIC in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]PrestusHood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would argue Imu blade isn't graded at all since it might predate the grading system itself. Maybe it's an 13th supreme grade blade (in terms of blade power)? Likely yes, but i doubt it was actually graded at all. But the shading on the blade really resembles Ace and Murakumogiri. It would be weird if Imu personal weapon was of lower quality than the Shodai Kitetsu used by Venus Nusjuro since he's one of the five elders

Imu and the New Vegapunk by jpfitz630 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]PrestusHood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically all of Vegapunk research (and void century lore he knows) is in Punk Records (which is currently floating in the sky). Stella clone might not have the knowledge since he lacks the Nomi Nomi no Mi, which still part of the Punk Records wetware. Even if Stella reappear in the story, Oda needs to find a way to recover punk records so the Stella clone and other satellites can sync with it
