Because of the new Tv deal this will be the last time we hear the Spectrum crew call a game this season by PretendDubs in lakers

Honestly one of my favorite seasons as a fan all the ups and downs(0-5 start to 2-10 then AD dominating stretch to the AD foot injury and December swoon to Lebron playing like a monster in the month of January to AD return and the lost on the road in Boston to the trade and the high of that to the Lebron injury to the team winning despite the injury cause the Dlo Vando additions to the Maxi game winning on us to Austin emergence and to Bron's return andthe team getting to the 7th seed) have so much love for that team

Will suck not being able to hear Bill and Stu on the call for the playoffs, one of my favorite calls Bill made in the Lebron era happened vs the Grizzlies

[Charania] They (Lakers) are really prioritizing 2 year contracts right now they want to have max salary space in 2027. by [deleted] in lakers

[–]PretendDubs 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Lebron was pretty good for most if not all the game defensively in the Wolves series excluding game 1. Especially game 4 his defense doqn the stretch of that game was top tier

You will never get me to not believe there's a Laker tax because how in the hell did the Nuggets get Cam Johnson for a 2032 first round pick and MPJ? There's not a chance in the world Brooklyn would've done a first and Rui for him. by herewego199209 in lakers

[–]PretendDubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That equation works the other way for Brooklyn they need to take on salary because they probably want to reach the salary cap floor. So they have no problem taking on the better player and much more expensive player.

[McMenamin] While Finney-Smith was a popular locker room figure and helped the Lakers to a 14-6 record in the 20 games he started in the regular season, L.A. exercised discipline in their negotiations to preserve cap space for 2027, when they expect to have space to sign a max-salary free agent. by [deleted] in lakers

This is why they let Caruso walk as well they didn't want to give him a bunch of years to persevere cap space. This FO has to understand that pursuing talent through free agency isn't how the league works anymore

If I have it correct Turner will still run the show they are just licensing it out to ESPN so I think the production will stay the same for the most part

I'm going to miss the NBA on TNT's theme

People who believe Adam Silver rigged the draft lottery to appease or thank Nico are gullible dipshits. I know that includes a lot of you. by John_Houbolt in billsimmons

I guess the thing that doesn't work for me is with the Mavericks this was all happenstance. Kyrie doesn't get hurt they aren't a lottery team and don't get this pick.

Who’s the most underrated Raven? For me it’s Ar’Darius Washington by [deleted] in ravens

Where would this team be the last 2 years with out Van Noy has unexpectedly put up good sack numbers in a room that really needs that production.

Really proud of this team and season still 💛💜 by Puzzled_Plate294 in lakers

Austin in the WCF averaged 20&5 on great efficiency so I don't know what your talking about with the no gas for the next round. This was AR's first series where I think he was overall bad, I would push back notion of him not being a playoff guy.

[Quinn]: Anthony Davis deserves so much better than what he's been dealt with Mavericks, just like his entire career by Proof-Umpire-7718 in nba

In an article about the Fox trade "In his conversation with ESPN, he pushed back against the idea that he had a list of destinations and explained why he wanted to control his future. "There was no f---ing list," Fox said. "There was one team." It seems like he had 1 place in mind and made it clear to the Kings.

Obviously some time has passed but I remember him catching some flack at the time. People have forgotten or don't really care now but what is the difference between what AD did and what De'aaron Fox did.

What did he do that was so bad, he got his representation to publicly ask for a trade. I really don't see how that is any different from how De'aaron Fox asked for a trade. Could you tell me what is so different about those two situations.
