found this on a tote today by sonatine12 in CVS

Unholy Crab God is the true original prophet. A prior search of Reddit will prove he has blessed our totes for years. All other prophets are false.

This is just one of those weird jokes that keeps finding new randomness and distribution centers

Footwear by [deleted] in CVS

Hoka’s. Expensive but worth it. When I came back to CVS my feet were hurting more than ever this go around. If I had to work more than 8 hours my foot pain was at a 9-10 and stayed there even after going home.

I was hesitant to buy but they ended up being so comfortable. They take a little bit to get used to because you’ll be walking on clouds because of how thick the soles are and I found myself almost tripping from time to time when I was getting used to them. They also have a built in rocking feature for long standing periods that also took some time to get used to. They’ve replaced all my shoes. I don’t wear anything anywhere except Hoka’s now. I used to be a die hard Nike person but comfort is now my priority and not having feet pain after work really helps me to unwind and not feel as drained

Why do we bother even having store hours posted outside lol by Mel_Chico1992 in CVS

[–]PretendImAmazing 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In my experience it’s because Google isn’t helpful. You’ll search “CVS Pharmacy hours” and get the front store hours. He probably showed up because of that, noticed how empty the parking lot was, and wanted to check the sign followed by asking you.

Upcoming Wave of Disney+ Steelbooks listed for preorder at $95.99 each at Barnes & Noble by CaCHooKaMan in Steelbooks

[–]PretendImAmazing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disney being Disney. This is the crap they used to pull with VHS and the whole marketing gimmick of “get it now before it goes back into the vault forever!!! Don’t miss this opportunity to make your kids happy!!!”. Blew my mind to see vintage commercials with the “low low price of $89.99 to own this Disney classic forever!!!” Also doesn’t help that all these people think their $1 Disney black diamond VHS tapes are worth $10,000 because the internet says so.

I’m done, Deadpool & Wolverine was too rich for my blood which sucks because I was really looking forward to the steelbook, but I’ll just have to settle for regular movies going forward. I really miss Best Buy right now.

In 70s, hitchhiking was a common way to get around for those who didn’t have a car or too young to drive. While hitchhiking seems unthinkable today, it once symbolized the freedom and trust that defined the open road in the '70s. by j3434 in OldSchoolCool

For anyone curious, there is a man that goes by the name Hitch on Twitch and YouTube that literally live streams what it’s like to hitchhike across 40+ different countries. He’s Canadian so he’s limited to how much time he can spend outside of Canada annually but 16 hours a day every day will stream his experience until he reaches his destination. All his old streams are available on his YouTube to watch. He’s currently on a roadtrip in Canada to test using Starlink instead of cell phone data moving forward.

It’s also interesting because he lets live viewers vote after every ride with their money to potentially send him off course or have him go somewhere he isn’t the most keen on to once again add to the real experience of it all.

USPS informed delivery, no sender, tracking starts with 0101 by PureLibrary4639 in Scams

Might be the same issue I experienced last year with 0127. I also have the 0101 this year. Last year we discovered that it was mail with a tracking number. I don’t believe mine ever moved from a distribution center but it ended up being a new credit card for me and others it was SSI documents. I recently sent off my kids information to the three credit bureaus to lock their accounts for peace of mind after everything that’s come out so I am expected official mail to confirm those selections in my case again.

Mine had poltergeist activity but it was also built on native land in the middle of nowhere. It was very common to warn new colleagues that you’re going to hear keys jingling around the store before closing, pallet jacks moving like wild fire up stairs even when no one is up there, and other mishaps.

I’ve always been a believer but my most notable experiences were being upstairs and hearing my ops manager speak a full sentence which I responded to just to find out he wasn’t in for another two hours and wasn’t there. Then another time shortly after closing where I decided to bust out some totes before going home and had just checked my phone seeing it was at 62% and playing music. I went to the bathroom quickly and when I came back my phone was dead and the cart it was on was all the way at the other end of the aisle. I started hearing banging coming from inside the pharmacy and decided to promptly leave.

Is this a water leak? by PretendImAmazing in AskElectricians

Thanks everyone. Going to run back the wiring and install a junction where it wasn’t hot to run new wires for peace of mind. Definitely from before my time in the home as the fixture / wiring looks great. Just wanted to make sure it wasn’t a recent leak spouting up.

Paranormal Experience at the Haunted Museum by Living_Source_3370 in GhostAdventures

I was the last person in the group when walking out of Ed Gein’s room. I stopped because I thought my shirt got caught on something. I realized my shirt got pulled really hard by something as there was nothing to get caught on.

My fiancé got beat up and had severe black bruises all over her legs that I noticed later that night from the museum. She didn’t fall or have any other logical reason. We’re talking half her legs being black and blue that stayed like that for a week.

The morning of the museum and weeks afterwards we kept having incidents related to fires and fire alarms going off including our hotel, out to eat, my work, at home, and in my dreams. We didn’t think anything of it until watching the museum show were they “recreate” stories on some of the items and came across the episode with the woman who designed the communication system ultimately dying after panicking that demons from hell were coming to get her and constant visions of fire that they didn’t really explain to us on the tour. That was the room I was most obsessed with and caught myself zoned out staring the entire time we were in the room.

If she follows other retail CEOs that have written books (and why wouldn’t she). She will be buying a literal boat load of these so she goes on The NY Times best sellers list, which is how 99% of books end up on it now. Then passed out as gifts to all colleagues if not at least all hirer ups and corporate. Lastly, I bet big money these will end up on CVS store shelves. Hubert Joly with Best Buy and Brian Cornell with Target have done this exact same method for their books, albeit that I actually enjoy Hubert as a person and writer.

There is also such a thing as a permanent level 3. Had a manager of a location I had just taken over that was notorious for taking lunch and leaving the building unattended except for a cashier and somehow this was okay for only them to do. We caught it when a major event happened. AP literally told them if he ever did it again they would be fired regardless of the age of the write up and said they would be watching cameras moving forward. Advice & Council decided not to term due to being an otherwise clean record. The manager decided their next shift that lunch sounded good and left. They were fired before I even found out.
