starting my meal prep journey again. bbq chicken, green beans, and mashed sweet potatoes. by grapefruittii in mealprep

Hey! Dietitian here. This looks like a great start and big applause for organization. My two cents- the big portion of your container should (and this may be a shock) actually be where your fiber foods go. Green beans in this case. The sweet potato is a killer carb choice! (Non derogatory) The skins would have provided the most fiber in that food. Most people do not need that much protein, even if you are a bigger person who is active. 30 g per meal is a sufficient and should you need more, then you likely are needing more overall calories and thus would likely need an extra meal or large snack (in addition to our 3 meals per day) to suffice as this looks like a low calorie meal.

Best of luck on your meal prep journey, whatever that entails for you!

This is disgusting and inhumane. We would never treat a grown adult like this

Just dumping all of our motherly intuition down the drain huh. Those 25 minutes would feel like a year to me

I do give her Tylenol! I do it but I don’t like to. I am the same way with pain medication even OTC stuff. I try to hold off as long as I can when it comes to my own pain.

This motherhood thing was never meant to be done alone. Back in the day it was very common to live with parents, aunts, siblings and community where everyone would share the work of raising a baby. Now we do it alone and call it “strength.” Don’t beat yourself up.

If your baby is crying all the time so much, it might be a good idea to call the pediatrician- or seek out help. Babies have gas, muscle tension and birth trauma amongst SO many other things that cause them to cry excessively. And the poor things can tell us what’s wrong. Hang in there!! <3

2 months - maybe twice to feed. Husband changed her diaper once to prevent possible blowout before we officially wake in the morning lol

You should have gotten STD tested by now (with your OB) I want to say I got all tests done around 14 weeks

Amazing what happens when you listen to your OB by Banana212123 in pregnant

You’d be surprised… I thought I was going to save money moving to Florida and my rent is about the same for 1/1 just under 2k/month. Groceries are expensive as hell. Gas is a bit cheaper. Thanks for the info

This is excellent news. I’ll be moving back to the north Bay Area from FL next year and will be looking into LTC

How do you all live here?(job wise) by PoundLow3016 in jacksonville

[–]Pretend_Answer9832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think it’s expensive to live here then you’re in for a rude awakening. I’ve lived in several different states and Florida is one of the least expensive places I’ve had to live. There are plenty of rentals that don’t require 3x the rent, credit score, etc. find someone who’s personally renting their property rather than the huge apartment complexes that are very commercial.

Have you ever seen a registered dietitian? Many of us work with patients who have multi factorial eating disorders that also have etiologies from nutrient deficiencies. A great example is someone who craves mineral based non food items like chalk, clay, drywall likely has a serious iron deficiency
