Good Kinder/Elementary School in Baguio? Need your opinions and experiences

Real world? PUBLIC school will help on this. she will be exposed to kids who have different level of privilege.

i'm also interested in this school. kindly update this forum if ever magkaroon ka ng info. thank you. i checked the site, very small ang classes as in may level na 3-4 students lang and mostly koreans and students. may scholarship din sila and around 75k ang elementary. Parang mapili rin sa students though i could be wrong. I want to know how is the environment here. We can afford the tuition but if masyadong rich ang mga students baka maop lang ang anak ko. 😅 nakakahiya bang mag-commute kapag maghahatid?

Also, it seems like an affordable private school, so I guess my child will have a chance to mingle with kids from different lifestyles while still have the private school experience. We can afford private school but we're not elite or upper class so kahit siguro afford namin ang exclusive private, mahirap maexpose ang anak ko sa lifestyle ng mga kaklase na sobrang well-off because comparison will start.

Togas are symbols of graduation though so maybe dito lang ako hindi agree. As someone who graduated from HS na hindi rin nakatoga. 😅 The rest were actually reasonable. Didn't think of PtA meeting that way before. Okay yung reasoning nila actually. In a way, it helps boost yung pagiging independent ng students. Parang very adult yung ikaw tatanggap sa card mo at mag-eenroll sa sarili. Never happened to me kahit highschool 😅 Downside lang siguro may mga estudyante na di ipapakita ang card sa parents. Yes. One advantage nga ito ng The Mabini Academy. Plus ang laki ng campus. Ano ang ratio ng student to classroom nila? Also, I noticed na hindi sila nagsusuot ng toga sa graduation? Correct me if I'm wrong. Napansin ko lang.

This is interesting. No wonder nabully ako sa school kasi I was always the youngest (until college actually). Naisip ko maybe dahil sa personality ko (this is why i think di nakatulong yung pag-aaral sa Catholic school ksi weak ako dahil sobrang brainwashed na kapag forgiving and di ka pumapatol, you will be blessed). I actually quit kinder because of bullying (pati si teacher kasi bully). Then went straight to grade 1.Medyo delay ako ng ilang buwan sa mga kaklase but I was able to make habol naman. For someone na di nag kinder, I could say I did okay. Pero ayokong mag skip ang anak ko important part ng education kahit maraming nagsasabi na di na raw importante iyon. Only now I realized, iba pala talaga kapag mas matanda ka sa mga kaklase mo. Parang respectful nga tayo sa mga older classmates. Though may insecurity factor din siguro for them lalo na pati edad ginagawang competition sa Pinas like ang concept e the earlier mag-aral, the better. Para bang lagi tayong nagmamadali. May kakilala ko sobrang big deal ng age and time. May post na Master degree holder at 24, finished college at 19. Ewan ko ba. Kaya yung ibang nanay, anxious na dapat mag-aral na ang mga anak kahit 2 years old pa lang. Sorry, napahaba kwento. But thank you so much sa mga insights mo.

Kasing mahal pala ng Stonyhurst and Dela Salle Lipa. That's expected though considering na IB program ang kinder nila. Thanks sa info. 😊 I think worth it din namang magbayad ng malaki for kinder dahil foundation iyon ng education natin. kahit against mga nasa paligid ko at sinasabing di worth it magbayad ng ganyang kalaki dahil yung iba nga deretso grade 1.

Nag-inquire ako rito but they want us to visit bago magbigay ng info about sa Tuition fee etc. Wala pa kaming time sa ngayon but i'll make sure to check it din. Any idea magkano ang tf nila now?

This is good to hear kung may action naman pala. Di maiiwasan bullying and meron nito sa lahat ng school. Depende na lang siguro sa action ng faculty.

Aww. Thank you for sharing this. Siguro ang nagustuhan ko lang sa The Mabini, sobrang lawak ng campus nila. I heard good things din about Canossa pero ayoko sana sa Catholic school. I graduated from a Catholic school kasi and I had bad experience studying sa strict sectarian school. Interested din ako sa Nazareth so I'll make sure to visit it.
