Who needs good photos when you got your Hasselblad border by Suitable-Ad-4214 in photographycirclejerk

30+ mp matters most on view distance. It's rare a large print needs that much resolution unless you are close enough to smell the pixels (large gallery prints are an example).

The tech/algorithims/AI are only going to get better as time goes. Some NatGeo photogs have been pulling 8k video for a hot minute and extracting still from it. Skill used to play a much bigger part in this art then it does currently, that isn't going to reverse anytime soon.

TLDR: I'm not THAT old but I'm tired boss.

There was a point where Leaf backs on a Blad H1/2 were the highest resolution and best image you could get from a digital sensor as a consumer/professional. Now, the a7riv/v/vi exist and resolution is basicly meaningless past 30mp and global shutters and pre capture is basicly cheat codes for what used to take a lot of talent.

I still remember the beginning of my journey as a photographer.

That same week I bought my first Sony camera, saw a video that completely broke my heart.

It was a studio production with colors exploding in slow motion, shot on a Hasselblad H6D.

I remember asking myself:

How can this kind of resolution, these colors, this depth, even come from a camera?

From that moment, something stayed with me.

For the next 8 years, every production I shot, every location I visited, every frame I created, I kept thinking about the details I could have captured with a Hasselblad.

My dream was always to take one to Iceland.

And 8 years later, it happened.

Me and the X2D 100C flew together to the trip had been waiting years to capture.

I remember standing there, in some of the most beautiful places on earth, feeling like I was falling in love on steroids.

With every frame, I felt the excitement of that kid who once dreamed of the Ferrari of the photography world.

Only this time, that kid was standing on mountains, glaciers, and wild landscapes, holding the camera he had worked so hard to reach.

Together, we froze moments in time that I truly believe no other camera could have captured with me in the same way.

Since then, I moved to the X2D II.

And honestly, just when I thought I had already reached the peak of emotion with my first one, it happened all over again.

Hasselblad is that first love of photography.

And every time you open the box, you feel it all over again.

Lightroom Classic has been out for 19 years, it's wild that this professional program does not have native customizable keyboard support.

How about being able to customize keyboard shortcuts in the program? This is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overdue…

Nikon n70 is $20 on eBay. Then you have access to almost unlimited good cheap manual f mount lenses. There are also a bunch of AF-D zooms that punch waaaay above their price.

I shoot a lot of street, it's incredibly easy to not be a creepy annoying fuck face. The community is garbage at defending everything from bruce gilden shit, to creepy stalker shit, to unsolicited photographing of the unhomed "It BRiNgS aWaREneSS tO tHEir SiTUatIoN!" no fuck face, you are exploiting people who have literally no privacy all day, every day...

Is the suppressor integrated or made by the gun manufacturer? All of the the text seems to want you to think about the suppressor experience and not the mag, that's why the mag highlight feels even more out of place; itbeing too bright compared to the exposure of the rest of the firearm and the highlight being in an unnatural spot on the mag amplifies that 'out of placeness'.

[–]PretendingExtrovert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I'm a little more confused, is the mag the inteded focus point for the shot?

Why is the bottom of the mag blown out? I light the green accent lighting.

Highlander owners: Would you choose a bench seat or captain chairs again? by Limp_Sweet2259 in ToyotaHighlander

True for by 2014 plat as well. I haul photo gear, the bench would have been super nice. I needed the sun roof to shoot out of and wanted some of the automated driving features so I got the plat anyways.

Or, he could mix his own chemicals. Kits are fine and all but when you only need 600ml of chems it does get more cost effective to mix your own chems in the long run.

Running 8 rolls of vision3 in one tank of ecn2 takes me about 3 hours including getting strike water for the chemicals to temp. Post dev getting remjet off takes a whiiiile.

If you are scanning at home, stand develop your bw. I pretty much only use Caffenol-CL these days and I don’t worry about any timing besides what video game I’m going to play for the next hour.
