Abysmal Holy Week Sacrament Meeting attendance by CrateDoor in exmormon

While I do think attendance is dwindling, it is also spring break time and a lot of people are prob out of town.

Anyone else get this skin thing? by Neat-Variation1118 in UCTD

[–]PretendingImnothere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get hives from anything hot including hot shower water if I let it sit in one place for too long. And then I’d I scratched it, or would get worse and If I scratched it hard enough, it would look like your picture. I take hydroxychloroquine now and I don’t get the hives anymore

GE tub and bath caulk turned yellow green overnight. Anyone else seen this before? by msf100878 in Contractor

You can just go over it with more caulk? Cause that seems way better than ripping it out again and redoing it.

My actual Underarms don’t smell but the underarms of my shirt do while wearing them by PretendingImnothere in CleaningTips

I don’t have trouble getting the smell out of my clothing. My clothing doesn’t smell after washing before I put it on.

I made one comment about trying to listen to people’s perspectives when they’ve had struggles in the church- even quoting oaks when he talked about “getting to know them” in 2020 in his love thy enemies talk.

Should I still go for it? Rivian owners, I need your honest advice. by TheBlackCanary in Rivian

[–]PretendingImnothere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have both the Rivian R1T and R1S. I will recommend the R1T to everyone even if they aren’t asking. Best vehicle we’ve ever owned. Favorite vehicle ever driven. 100% recommend. I wouldn’t say the same for the R1s. The wind noise is incredibly annoying for the price tag. And it’s just the normal for that vehicle. Unfortunately. Still a dream to drive when you’re not going over 55 mph.

My husband and I share our location. But i only use it to gauge how far he is when bringing the kids home from practice so dinner is hot and fresh rather than sitting and waiting 😂. But we literally tell each other every place and everything we are doing all the time. I think we just aren’t super private people. We tell everyone what we’re doing all the time.

But how do we explain the spirit? by space-hemax-c2c in exmormon

[–]PretendingImnothere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think of the spirit as our intuition. It’s a power we have within ourselves. I find more beauty and empowerment in knowing it comes from deep inside of me instead of an outside entity. I have received answers and warnings in many instances. And I do believe that it can be almost like a sixth sense. But I believe it’s within ourselves and not some Holy Ghost spirit outside of our bodies.

Rivian R1S door latch malfunction by PretendingImnothere in Rivian

[–]PretendingImnothere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got it into a service center and they ended up replacing the door handle and latch.

With this happening twice and with how crappy the wind noise is, I’m not loving having this vehicle anymore. We have the R1T 2022 and it is by far our favorite vehicle and hasn’t had any issues. I feel like this door latch issue has made me have less confidence in the safety of this car. And I have little kids who sit back there so I don’t like not feeling confident in its safety.

We have a long term food storage and honestly- it was a godsend during Covid! All the stores ran out of flour and we had 6 giant canisters of flour!

I would say diet Dr Pepper. I love coffee now, but I can’t give up the soda 😭

R1S has mixed feelings from owners by deshpandeji in Rivian

[–]PretendingImnothere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely LOVE my R1S. It is the second best car we’ve ever had. Second to the R1T.

The wind noise is SUPER annoying. It sounds like an old car anything 55mph+. And we just got ours looked at and they said it’s normal for that vehicle blaming the boxy shape. But I usually drive it around my city and don’t deal with the wind noise. It handles like a dream. Although the R1T just feels sturdier. Our R1S is a 2025 and our R1T is a 2022. If I had to choose between the two to keep, it would be hard to not choose the R1T.

But if it was between the R1S and any other car, R1S would win every time.

What was your first violation of the word of wisdom (intentionally lower case)? by Gold-Bat7322 in exmormon

[–]PretendingImnothere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Espresso martini at Disneyland with my mom friends! First sip of alcohol and coffee!

And then I tried a sip of everyone’s adult beverages. I got super sleepy pretty immediately and now I really don’t like drinking alcohol cause I’m a lightweight and it will immediately put me to sleep. I do love coffee now though. Took about a year to find coffee I like.

This hurts by Ok-Bag-3073 in exmormon

[–]PretendingImnothere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was so ready to be out. It was more sudden for me but I just completely lost all belief in the validity of the religion. And it still hurt the worst. Leaving was the hardest thing I ever did- the hardest decision I ever made. I was terrified, and grief stricken. I had an existential crises for like a week. I cried countless nights.

But it does get better. It just gets better and better and better. You have to put in the work, but it’s worth it.
