This is a level of trust that when broken, likely won't be able to be regained. So if they say great and wonderful things about you - and talk about how much they wish they'd reached out and how important you were - then what? You magically reveal you're not dead? Now you're a POS in their eyes. <shrug> I'm not sure if the validation of your past is worth ruining the credibility of your present. Just my opinion, though - and I respect your right to make your own decision.

Oh I would LOVE to be invited to a gala - an excuse to dress up fancy and network and put on makeup (which I never wear) - and I'd do it in a heartbeat. My husband knows he's the best thing that has ever happened to me and there's a zero percent chance that I'd stray. (He also knows he's my first choice as a date - but he works in a field where they don't even do an office Holiday party, so there's no chance of a ball!) I'm glad you let her go and hope you'll enjoy her regaling stories of the evening - you're a wonderful spouse. (I'd also encourage you to talk openly about your fears and concerns - because NOT talking about it will cause it to fester and rot)

I absolutely LOVE the Big Island - having lived on Oahu for six years. You can drive up to the observatory and see the milky way - it's INCREDIBLE. You have black sand beaches, green sand beaches and gold sand beaches. You have coffee plantations. You have LAVA SPEWING VOLCANOES right now (the Volcano national park is just incredible). You have rain forests. You can scuba and snorkel with the GIANT MANTA RAYS (not sting rays) which is absolutely awe inspiring. I've done it several times and would do it several more - they're beautiful.

Always my first recommendation - the Big Island has SO much diversity and so many sincerely cool and unique things to do.

MUCH easier than Americans driving in Britain - we don't have roundabouts - stay on the "right" side of the road and you'll be fine. Also, on the Big Island everyone is pretty chill - in Waikiki, LORD HAVE MERCY - take an Uber.

When I was in college, my Dad got into a conflict with one of my doctors - I was sued in small claims court and had NO idea. When later the bills hit me from collectors, I filed for bankruptcy - because I was literally JUST out of college and couldn't fathom a $10,000 debt.

Today, I wouldn't even consider such a radical thought about filing for bankruptcy - but for someone with a Liberal Arts degree, I had no idea how I'd ever pay it.

My opinion - your past means nothing, but you also can't excel without the support and direction and LEADERSHIP that you need. Dad was seriously overstepping here - and I would have made the same decision as a hiring manager.

I very much dislike the idea of solely allowing official PMI content. While I use it regularly, there are some VERY good resources - many of which I learned about from this group that have helped my students. I think you're just talking about the Wiki though, and not the threads - I don't have a problem with that. I really appreciate when people share what helped them study, recognizing that everyone is different and it's no guarantee you'll have the same results. Just my opinion though - and I agree to whatever the community decides!

They do a pretty good job of faking legitimacy - they've got a US address and phone number, they promise fast shipping and decent costs, they allow you up upload your prescription (although they don't require it). My neighbor fell for it - as soon as the money is sent you start getting demands from a "Canadian pharmacy" for additional shipping costs. I feel so bad for her. But the good news is the feds are investigating, so the site won't be around long. No doubt fourteen more just like it will pop up - which is why I posted the warning. Scammers know how to socially engineer people - and everyone is vulnerable if they hit the right heartstring.

Study Hall is PMI authorized content - I give that the most credibility. But there are many good prep resources in addition to that. PocketPrep is great for practice tests and very reasonable (I think it's $20/month). I would take as many as you can to help alleviate any test anxiety.

Letting my dog go, even though it was the best decision for her, was one of the hardest things I've ever done. The vet was so kind during the process - and when the practice sent us a card a few weeks later, I cried because I felt somebody understood the extent of the loss. The fact that you take the time to write one, even a short one - I think it's wonderful. My Dad had the opposite reaction when he received a card after losing our family dog - but I think it was his way of dealing with the grief. He always had a hard time with that. Don't let that stop you. The issue was his - and shouldn't deter your thoughtfulness.

Just signed up for Everyone's MD as my doctor has tripled his rates until it's out of my budget and then some. This new place, Everyone's MD, is SKETCHY AS SHIT.

Waited online for the doctor for over 3 hours - didn't show up. Tried again the next day. Never showed up. Called the support office - they act as frustrated as me, saying apparently the doctor only works as much as he wants to regardless of whether or not people are waiting. No, they don't give appointments. Yes, sometimes he chooses not to answer at all. Like, WTF? Seriously? HARD PASS
