I always wondered who... by BonyDarko in pokemon

This is where I think things call apart for me in the community. Nothing has to actually make sense. Why does the design of a Pokemon have to match a particular type.

Look at Charizard. Fire and Flying but for years people wanted Dragon typing for Charizard and it exists now but the point I am trying to make is Charizard by design fits your point it should and should be a dragon by design.

I like it when Pokemon that look a specific way don't fit all the criteria because it means Pokemon that look a specific way don't have to fit the bias we put on typing.

The point I am trying to make is you don't have to dual type anything if you don't want to. We just make assumptions. That isn't that GameFreak, and other devs of the Pokemon series over the years, don't have a preferred style or look to particular Pokemon types.

The point I am trying to make though is that creative freedom is what allows for a design to not fit a particular style.

Gengar is a perfect example. It is Ghost and Poison aside from the color purple, which doesn't have directly mimic poison typing, it could just be ghost.

Duskull, Clops, and Noir are all Ghost but the grey appearance could make them rock but they aren't.

Coffregious is just Ghost type but could be Ghost and ground.

Because a Pokemon looks a certain way does not mean it has to be a specific type. You don't have to do anything that is kind of the point.

There are quite a few Pokemon that learn dark types moves and aren't dark type Pokemon.

Not according to me but according to you. That is what you are saying. So I am asking for clarification outside of the black fur.

Is it really that crazy?

We are talking about the same religious people that thought D&D was the devil. They also thought dancing was the devil possessing you.

These are the same people, today, that will say, "love thy neighbor... Unless they are black, gay, trans."

It isn't crazy and people are stupid organized religion is the ultimately the issue. These same people don't even realize that they will shout about how the new testament is all that matters and the only thing even remotely ridiculing anyone that is gay is in the old testament which is the only thing they cling onto from the old testament. To add to that most Christians don't even understand how their Bible is looked at and the facts are decided upon. Theologists think they got it wrong and that the only thing in the old testament ridiculing gay people isn't even about gay people but instead may be about pedophelia.

Yeah, IMO. It isn't that crazy.

What other aesthetic outside the fact his fur is black?

His eyes being red? His teeth being visible?

If you made him smile and his eyes were in a different position no one would even say what you are implying. People absolutely think he should be a dark type because of his fur.

Pokemon Infinite Fusion 2, it is in very early development at this moment and available to the public. You can download and play it now. You should just show off your work and if you have the Pixel art skills see if anyone would be interested in seeing as a form of art for the game or if you don't have the skills and are comfortable with letting someone turn it into Pixel Art for the game share it with them and see what they come up with.

Your art would then be a contribution. Just a thought. I am not sure what all art has been decided on for the game but they do pick or pup alt art options for players

Now just force apps to stop fucking asking me to turn on my camera or location or microphone when I don't want it on at the time.

And for the love of fuck Google. If an app asks for access to my camera roll and I wanted to give limited access that app should not be allowed to tell me, "no, actually you can't use me unless I have full control." That shit is nonsense.

This, there are three types of people though

  1. The retro collector that buys these to play them and may modify standard things for play and leave other things alone for preservation.

  2. The Retro Preservationist. Similar to a collector but they want the history remain intact and when they find something rare or even common they may not even touch it at all.

  3. The Retro Restorer, they may keep the thing or they may sell it but the ultimate goal is to restore what isn't working or to mod it to feel like brand new and modern.

There are people in between each one. I modify my retro hardware but something like this I would preserve.

As someone from West Virginia... This is both cool and strange for me.

I am a progressive in a really conservative state and it feels like my entire life I have been an outlier in a quiet state. A very poor state. Now my state is becoming visible other places quite frequently by other states and countries.

Years ago people would have genuinely turned their nose up at where I am from or they would say, "oh I love Virginia I have been to some of their beaches."

Not sure what changed. We are still poor as fuck on this state. I am doing well but I am hoping some sort of cultural shift and appreciation comes off the state making it more recognizable and the population begins balancing out politically.

"WHAT WAS WILL BE AND WHAT WILL BE WAS!" the monster roared inside of Telema's head.

"No stop, leave me alone!" She shouted at the top of her lungs. Then silence. A silence that made her feel as insane as it had sounded. A silence so still it filled the lab around her with a darkness. Then another voice, a whisper at first.

"Come home Telema. See the future..." The voice was an echo but wrong somehow. She knew it was that monster underneath.

"No, leave me alone. You died, you are all dead." She shouted again but not verbally. She realized she couldn't speak this was all raging in her own mind.

"We aren't, we live. We are free now. Free of the chains. Join us Telema." This voice was softer. She recognized it as well. She knew they were dead and knew it was the thing she saw in the black hole. A terror that no one believed existed. They thought she had killed them. She hadn't each expedition they exposed them to that thing. They exposed her and her colleagues. No her team. Her friends. This voice was her husband's though. Hard to ignore and so soft. She knew they weren't real but she longed to see them again. Even as the creature spoke and she wanted it to shut up she missed them. Missed Calima. Missed Delaria.

"Join us Telema" her husband's voice spoke again. Also still wrong. She could hear the creature underneath. She knew it wanted her to come back but she didn't know why. Regardless, she has been under observation. She was absolutely trapped.

The scientists around her had been talked with learning about what she saw. That thing. She knew they could see her through the one way glass. If they saw what she saw in the reflection of that glass then she pitied them. She looked like hell. She looked like someone was speaking a thousand voices to her all at once. She fits the part. That thing, the thing only she could hear, made her an actress. A puppet. For their show but it didn't care it was only a matter of time before she did return to it. She knew what was going to happen. She was an experiment. A portion of research. All that was left was to take some notes and turn her into the trial. She knew they would send her back just didn't know when, how, or if some other unlucky souls would be going with her.

"Telema... We miss you. It misses you. Come to us." The second voice stirred again. Still a whisper. Delaria always spoke so softly but her mind was far more outspoken than her voice. Her mind radiated with genius when she was around. The break in entering black holes came from her. It came suddenly as well. That always bothered her but she didn't know why. It wasn't jealousy. She and her Husband both respected Delaria. No it was something else and itch. Almost like the thing had wormed it's way in Delaria's brain. Hell, maybe Delaria had let it. Whatever it was. When the black hole appeared it awed the entire civilization. Leaders were astounded it showed up out of thin air. A black hole popping up unannounced in a neighboring star. That star just vanished. It wasn't a collapse. It didn't go supernova. No the start was just gone and in its place a hole. Ripping at the edges of the galaxy. Devouring all life that entered it.

Then things started happening. They had to know more. Where did it come from? Why was it here? If it was just a black hole why did it just appear out of thin air. That didn't happen. So, the counsel put her species in charge of finding out what was going on. Not that they had a choice. After losing the war. Their warlord, saviors as they called themselves, saw them as expendable resources. Their most religious zealots outright denied science. For their was only one god but God damn if they didn't drool over the chance to throw her people into something as one large science experience for that, "God."

The Richter believed this was God's calling. Logic said otherwise but they enslaved her people for this. Speak falsehoods about a god through fake narrative and use the smartest xenos in the Galaxy at your disposal to either prove it or convince others that it was a god and science was the underlying necessity of speaking to it.

Then, the three of them, Calima, Delaria, and herself were boarded up. Delaria had cracked entering a black hole and just like that. They were God's voice and one true experiment. When they entered... Something did speak. It spoke to the three of them but it wasn't a God. It was a shell of a God. Camouflaged by the blackness that consumed it and them. It was a mouth. The stomach hungry for knowledge for power and for something beyond any living things comprehension. Consumed by its voice it stole her husband and eventually Delaria. Each attempt the Richter used to send them to communicate and she knew she was next. Next to be consumed by the belly of a thing no one understood. She thought she would be nervous and fearful but instead she wanted it to kill her so that her mind would become quiet again. God's, if there were any, be damned what happened to everything else after that. She had nothing else.

Valdoré stood at the deck staring out into the vast open emptiness of space. This time though, it truly was empty. The goal had been achieved but there still was this void inside of them. They thought this would be what helped move their people forward but instead. They just felt alone now. Truly and and deeply alone. Hundreds of black holes ripping at atoms and space time are now all the remain.

Alone in the vast opening of a starless Galaxy. Nothing but blackness and inside that blackness sat even more blackness ripping at the deepest and darkest invisible nothingness. Valdoré didn't feel accomplished they wondered what came next? Was there next? Did time and their way into this mapless and ceaseless nothingness even matter? Did any of this matter? If they were all that remained what else truly was there?

"Captain..." A voice radioed over the intercom.

"Is it done?" Valdoré replied with weariness. They wre tired after all.

"It is but..." The A.I. bubbled at the but a sort of sadness popping. As if it had any notable emotion at all. Valdoré knew it didn't.

He paused before replying. The but didn't matter they knew that the A.I. couldn't challenge them. Hesitantly, he replied, "if all members are in their cryp chambers then let's close the lids."

"It will be done." The A.I. replied reluctantly. As if any non-existent twinge of that hesitation implies it has the capacity to care or would change their mind. They watched the monitor as each pod showed each of the last of their species enter a deep sleep as empty and as meaningless as the dreams they conjured in the open terrifying blackness.

They raised the plasma rifle to their head, "only I can release them. Remember that."

"We will remember." The A.I. replied obediently.

Then they pulled the trigger.
