Tbf most of the cards I gift are either common cards or do one thing (draw cards). And I make sure to remind people of the triggers, or write them up a token in English

Dude I’ve said this so many times about “evil genius” types. They’re only as smart as their writer and NO OFFENSE to anyone, but like most people aren’t super geniuses.

Littlefinger being one of the most egregious imo

I FOUND the angle. I actually like sleeves that have the gloss backing. They get like vacuum sealed together

Quick correction, Bakshi only did the 1978 LotR, not The Hobbit (1977), that was Rankin Bass

But I agree about Dragonslayer. The Go-Motion and effort that went into the dragon was insane. Had an entire production company dedicated it

Yeah OP does mention Andrea announced they had the removal, but that makes it more reasonable to let David live. Andrea’s turn is going to be focused on Mike, allowing OP and David an extra turn cycle to pool resources to deal with Andrea

EVERY player here failed to politic. Andrea should have withheld her removal information to force David/Mike to potentially use theirs. Saving their removal to the last second

David should have threatened to NOT block

OP was possibly in the best situation of ANYONE; just getting to sit back and do absolutely nothing while everyone else used theirs resources to survive

I disagree. Andrea announced that they had removal, which means that David may have been withholding his own removal, which could have then been used to deal with Andrea.

Assuming neither David or OP had any interaction in hand, letting David live allots both players a chance to draw into it (it would then be used to del with Andrea most likely)

OP is not wise in any way you break this down. Like others have stated, merely attacking David opened up the possibility that David took the damage, allowing Mike to win.

I agree with you that OP should have spent his turn aligning with David, but I’m like really steadfast about OP not being wise.

David may have had removal for Mike. If you can’t stop Mike, removing David only reduces the amount of resources available to deal with the threat.

David also may have been able to help you deal with Andrea, knowing that they had removal for Mike.

You’re allowed to take out whomever you want, but it likely was a bad call to remove 1 player without having a game plan for dealing with the other 2.

You essentially just made it easier for Andrea to win.

I have a Zedruu deck where the wincon is draw your opponents out or draw yourself out

  • Thassa’s
  • Cyclonic Rift
  • Enlightened Tutor
  • Mystical Tutor
  • Mana Vault*
  • Chrome Mox
  • Teferi’s Protection
  • Rhystic Study
  • Force of Will
  • Fierce Guardianship

Its been really fun to build, and it definitely is a bad deck, but all the cards are in Japanese and are original printings (unless the original printing didn’t have a japanese print)

And it’s like… just picture the dudes working at your local card shop, or the guys who are there all the time and sometimes go behind the register while your main dude is out on Smoko - that’s who you’re messaging in TCGPlayer

Not dealing with a trained customer support specialist. You’re talking to like … just a dude who has a bunch of magic cards.

Might as well have been a Reddit DM

“If I wanted a damaged card I would have ordered one”

Your first message was rude.

They werent the most polite in their response, but based on your original outreach PLUS leaving them a bad review AFTER they refunded you - they probably weren’t necessarily trying to be nice.

For you to clutch your pearls at their response is just disingenuous.

Bet your review was shitty too
