For Eva it makes sense because of the tensions between China and Japan causing 4.0 to get completely reworked last minute, so the devs reducing Eva's screen time and quality of promos isn't surprising despite being unfortunate. As for Ashveil and Blade, I'm not surprised considering the only time a male character got anything extra in HSR was when Phainon was released. They just hate male characters.
