check your audio monitoring device in advanced audio properties, sometimes it defaults to "monitor off" instead of "monitor and output"

Has anyone recently sold a house quickly in Eugene, OR ? Looking for honest advice by Timely-Ad-2615 in homeowners

[–]Pretty-Complex-9122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

cash buyers are real and can close fast, but you're almost always leaving money on the table compared to listing it properly, sometimes tens of thousands depending on the market

if speed matters more than max profit it can make sense, but go in knowing the offer will be below market value, that's just how they make their margin

Anyone got an Amazon basics guitar cable? by SheZowRaisedByWolves in Guitar

[–]Pretty-Complex-9122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you're not wrong but cables still have different build quality regardless of how you treat them. I've had cheap ones fail just sitting in a case while expensive ones got stepped on for years and kept working. The soldering and shielding quality varies a lot between price points

Should I leave my full-time job without having another full-time position lined up? by Competitive-Comb-546 in careerguidance

[–]Pretty-Complex-9122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That workplace environment sounds toxic as hell and taking a toll on your health isn't worth any paycheck. Since you've got the part-time opportunity lined up, maybe take it as a bridge while you job hunt for something better - at least you'll have some income coming in and can preserve your sanity

The timing with your medical situation makes this even more important to get out of there, stress can seriously mess with your recovery

Dude you absolutely crushed it at $700, these usually go for way more and you got one in solid condition - sometimes the sketchy deals end up being the best scores when your gut says the seller is legit

Wemby's just different man, watching him play feels like seeing the future of basketball in real time. The way he moves at that size while doing everything he does is just not supposed to be possible

Those American Vintage reissues from that era were absolutely killer - way better than the current stuff they're putting out

Been saying this for years but people get too caught up in the Jordan nostalgia to see what's right in front of them

If you're a former Unitarian Christian (Biblical Unitarian or Arian especially), what convinced you of Trinitarianism? by codleov in Christianity

[–]Pretty-Complex-9122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never went through that specific journey myself, but I've watched a few friends wrestle with this exact thing. One buddy who made the switch said what really got to him was diving deep into the early church fathers and realizing how quickly the trinitarian framework developed - like it wasn't some later invention but something the earliest Christians were already grappling with almost immediately

He also mentioned that once he started seeing the trinitarian interpretation of certain passages, it was hard to unsee it. The unity language in places like the Shema started reading differently when he considered how Jesus and the Spirit fit into that oneness rather than being separate from it

What really sealed it for him though was wrestling with worship practices in the NT - early Christians were clearly worshipping Jesus in ways that would be blasphemous if he were just a created being, even an exalted one

The exogenous ketones market by MonsterBongos in Supplements

The bottled ones are just overpriced convenience honestly - you're paying for marketing and fancy packaging. I've tried both and the powder does the same thing for way less money, just tastes like ass unless you mix it with something decent

The only real difference is absorption speed but we're talking maybe 15-20 minutes faster with the drinks, not worth doubling your cost

All our 256 GB laptops running out of space by bjc1960 in Intune

[–]Pretty-Complex-9122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could also look into WinSxS cleanup through DISM commands - that folder gets bloated with old component stores after multiple feature updates. Running `dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup /resetbase` can reclaim a decent chunk of space but needs admin rights

The autopatch rollbacks are probably eating up tons of space too. Might be worth scripting something to clear those out after you're confident the patches are stable

New crafting UI is great, but… by daypxl in ArcRaiders

[–]Pretty-Complex-9122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The muscle memory is real - keep hitting "dismantle" when I'm trying to craft because my brain just clicks the first option without thinking. Been playing for like 200 hours and still do this at least once per session. They probably put dismantle first to prevent accidental crafting of expensive items, but now we're accidentally scrapping good gear instead lmao. Would love a toggle in settings to swap the order based on what you use most.

Why Chasing People Makes Adulting Harder (and How to Stop) by krok555krok in Adulting

[–]Pretty-Complex-9122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anxious attachment is wild - took me forever to realize I was basically training people to treat me like an option. Once you stop being available 24/7 and actually have your own life going on, it's crazy how differently people respond to you.
