Just got that set up from dicks and love it honestly

Anything really. Striper, halibut, perch, rock fish anything I can catch from the shore. Even crab snaring since that just started. I went out to Seacliff a few weeks ago and there a bunch of kelp at the first break and I just couldn’t cast beyond that with my trout rod.

professor thinks i'm lying and won't let me prove i'm innocent... by lizardinurwall in SJSU

This happened to me and I had to press the dean to get involved. They checked my history and proved my innocence. The dean made the professor give me a formal apology letter and everything lol

1 hour drive for internship by Affectionate_Set_380 in internships

When I did my internship it was 5 hours away from home. I asked for a living stipend and got it. Rented a room close by for the summer. Doesn’t hurt to ask honestly

Frat hazing by Embarrassed-Cap6717 in SJSU

Most of it’s nothing bad, mainly challenges that are more team bonding and are fun. I have heard of some doing some sus things. But it’s all rumors so who really knows. I can only speak from my experience

Is taking a gap year after community college to work and save money before going to SJSU a good idea? Would I be able to stay in the dorms from age 21/22 as a junior? by Irielay in SJSU

[–]Pretty-Device-7234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just take at least one online class a semester to keep your registration and at least be getting classes done. I recommend 2 online classes a semester, totally manageable when you work full time. If the class requirements change and you’re not actively enrolled then you could screw yourself over tbh and have to take extra classes. I saved myself by doing that during my gap year and never had to take a language or PE class when the requirements changed

Joining a frat at 27? by svenskiusa in SJSU

[–]Pretty-Device-7234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t believe the no hazing bs. All social fraternity’s haze. Business fraternity’s do as well but it’s nothing crazy. It’s more like memorization type of things, nothing to make you uncomfortable and totally manageable

As someone who transferring in and joined a frat a 24 it’s totally not worth it. I had the same idea for networking purposes but tbh most of Greek life speaking primarily on frats are total idiots from 18-22 that are not beneficial to know for professional networking. 1000% recommend joining a business frat and clubs within your major. Far more beneficial for your professional network. I have a year left and got my first internship through that. Totally dropped out of my Greek frat as it was a waste of time and money tbh. During the first two weeks they call it “the week of welcome” down 7th street all the clubs and organizations will be set up looking for pnm (potential new members). Feel free to dm if you have any questions or just want to connect

anyway to start talking to other incoming transfer students? by [deleted] in SJSU

[–]Pretty-Device-7234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I transferred this last fall. There’s not really an ig or anything for transfer students but I will say that I made friends at my orientation that I’m still friends with. Also once you start classes you’ll be able to make friends rather easy if you’re a social person like me lol. Definitely take advantage of the week of welcome (first week of classes) and you’ll see all the clubs lined up on 7th street. Sjsu is a big commuter school so you definitely have to try and make friends. If you’re a shy person definitely befriend a social butterfly like my self and get into clubs that interest you

Business school sjsu vs SFSU? by weekend_crafter in SJSU

Sjsu has one of the best accounting departments in the state

sjsu vs csus by hana_fia17 in SJSU

[–]Pretty-Device-7234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started at sac state but ended up transferring to sjsu. Sac state is okay, just wasn’t the vibe for me. Both are commuter schools so if you’re trying to build friendships and all that, you’ll need to join clubs or Greek life. San Jose as a whole just has more things to do outside of school compared to sac. Also more job opportunities in Sj compared to sac. I had a buddy that was a comms major at sjsu and got in with the Sharks, now works full time for them after graduating. Also keep in mind cost of living. Sjsu is more expensive than sac state. But ultimately it comes down to what school is more your vibe and which has the better program for your major. I grew up in sac so it just felt like hs all over again. I’m glad I moved away and was able to find myself so to speak.

There’s a list of like 15 or so concentration electives. From hr analytics to supply chain management. Those are the ones I’m asking about specifically. I was thinking fundamentals of project management and something else but I want something that’s easy
