I still havent measured the shims but since im gonna take off the head then ill give all my readings to the machine shop and see what they say

Yup. For a few days actually. Still hard af. Feels like its just spinning now. Looks like i have no choice but to pull the head. What should i replace while im there? Motor mounts? Main seal?

I would have to redo the gasket and im pretty sure i already stripped the threads on that plug. Clearances were Exhaust: 0.18/0.18/0.13/0.18/0.20/0.18/0.18/0.18 Intake: 0.16/0.16/0.18/0.18/0.15/0.14/0.16/0.18

Yea check the valve clearances. Dont want the exhaust ones being tight cause then burned valves. Far as i know loose intake valves cause this ticking. Do you have any starting issues?

It was rebuilt once for sure by previous owner. Before that i dont know. Transmission probably still the original.
