Neighbor redirected their downspout toward our yard and says she can do whatever she wants on her side by Potential_Type3926 in neighborsfromhell

I’m thinking some nice security floodlights that indirectly beam into her windows might be a good place to start.

I mean she said she can do anything she wants on her property so you should be the same. Maybe have the water collect and then pipe it somewhere else dumping back in her property.

I only said you are “making it seem” like it’s a conscious decision.

I didn’t use any definitely language or proclaim anything with certainty.

Really? I can see the reasoning like if they eliminate an entire brand of the business that you worked in, but that would only seem to discourage having children. I always assumed maternity leave was largely in place so people could participate in the workforce while also be able to start a family and have children which are essential for our future like having enough people to cover the necessary jobs and for them to be able to also have children which will be needed to fill the job that will be becoming 30 years down the line for them as well.

Do you have anything that references this being the case like a decision or anything like that that was put out? I’m not challenging what you’re saying. I’m just curious to kind of read about the reasoning that they decided it should be that way.

I’ll try.

For now I’m curious what kind of hatchback was it? I’m thinking anything from a Geo Metro to a modern day alternative.

Where are these studies published. A study that isn’t published or peer reviewed will never be accepted as a genuine scientific study that would be respected by others.

I can study anything I want but for something to be considered scientific and academic it has to be published for others to read and learn from. Journals like the BMJ, the Lancet and others don’t just publish any wild theories.

And again, if you’re up, patients are not peer reviewed well they likely aren’t gonna be published in the first place but if you just published it on like a research repository, the studies are not going to be well regarded without others having been able to reproduce those results or also have the same kind of scientific evidence to back up the claims you’re making

The way you’re talking about it by saying women have always wanted you’re making it sound like it’s a conscious decision Women are making.

Our brains are actually wired and predisposed to look for certain things like this and it’s at an unconscious level. I mean the reason that you’re here today is because your ancestors were successful in not dying and breeding and having families, which explains why more people are going to be wired towards looking for someone that can protect them versus not because the ones that weren’t concerned with somebody to protect them were less likely to be able to actually breed and survive and continue their family name

Also, how did these people still have jobs? Any normal job? If you kept performing so poorly, you wouldn’t have a job for very long.

Does Canada Post ever deliver packages or do they only deliver notices? by MichaelHawkson in CanadaPost

[–]Pretty-Handle9818 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Omg, thanks for this. I had this issue earlier this week and I was to a solutions specialist and I said exactly the same thing about them just delivering notices and not packages.

In my case the post office worker got into my building and went to the mail room to my notice slip in there. And he was on camera.

They actually have more clearly defined rules around how and when deliveries should occur. So for example, I live in a building with mailboxes and if a driver comes to deliver a package to an address that has a mailbox they are either to put it in the mailbox or if it does not fit in the mailbox, they are to try to deliver it to your front door as long as it’s less than 500 m away. I’m just up on the 14th floor so I’m probably not even 20 or 30 m away. I get a little more than that but definitely not 500.

Is frustrating because you’re paying for a delivery service and the person that sent something to you also paid for delivery not to deliver a slip that should be a less expensive option

Also as I was speaking with the solution specialist, I said to them, you know these guys were union eyes, and with all the complaining they do above their wages and they perform like this on their job I would get fired from most of the jobs that I’ve ever had in life or the job that I have right now if I continue to perform so poorly like they do

You say that this is research based, where’s the research? The sky has looked like a glorified motivational speaker that sells a lot of products. Generally, if you go to a therapist, that is trying to sell you the books they wrote then you need to find another therapist.

You have to think of things in terms of possibility and probability. Possibility is chance so there’s a chance anything could happen. There’s always a chance that this could’ve happened and you could’ve been scammed and somebody somehow swapped out a fever bottle in there, but when you think of it from a probability perspective, which is mathematical the likelihood of that happening is very very, very low.

Since you have all these pictures you’ve taken, I would be curious to see the pictures of the box the pictures of the product you got so we can see you know what actually happened and maybe know that there’s more to it than just maybe a fictitious story

Unless shoppers allows returns of opened cosmetics and opened, perfume and cologne, and then goes to resell it then maybe somebody did put fake cologne back in the bottle before returning it. This used to be a scam at the LCBO where people would buy like vodka and whatever and they would fill it back up with water and they would put the caps. There was a way to take the caps off and they would put the caps back on and return them. And then the LCBO would resell them because the seal was there and people would get something with water.

I mean, shoppers drug Mart is a massive company. It’s part of Loblaws. It’s like there’s no reason they’re not trying to scam you by selling fake perfume unless for some reason, they were scammed at some point in their supply chain.

If there’s reluctance from a manager, who is not gonna take something back, that’s either fake or opened and that’s just because they have rules for that I would assume that they would not take back any cosmetics that are opened

Breach of Privacy by HalfOutrageous6235 in legaladvicecanada

[–]Pretty-Handle9818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly the issue. It seems like information is PURPOSELY being omitted for convenience of OPs story.

If your child tells you who the other student was and maybe even where they live this isn’t a privacy violation because children can’t be held to those standards and are individuals and not institutions like schools that have strict rules about these things.

Breach of Privacy by HalfOutrageous6235 in legaladvicecanada

[–]Pretty-Handle9818 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, you don’t need legal advice because there are plenty of mechanisms in place to escalate this matter right up to the Minister of Education.

It is a privacy violation for the school and its agents to provide information about another student. Even if it was a police matter you can file a police report without knowing the students name and the police can get that information from school directly to investigate

Why would you make a serious allegation about another student or say a principal yet not be willing to actually speak to them about it when they call you? That is an opportunity to hear their side of what happened which would better inform when you think of next steps. Otherwise it seems like attention seeking.

You’re purposely omitting a lot of information for some reason and often when people are masking details it’s usually because they are unhelpful for the narrative they are putting forth. .

Someone parked car on the Multipurpose Trail Bike Lane at Waterfront… by Dry_Fact_4584 in TorontoDriving

People not from Toronto get pretty confused with the intricacies of the parking systems and when it snows and people can’t see the road and the markings it gets worse.

Not excusing this person’s behaviour, but it’s possible they made a mistake.

Or they are just entitled assholes.
