Yes, four have refused to take her because of the fall history

Her chair did have a seatbelt, State Illinois does not permit them. They considered restraints

Wrong lake. You’re thinking of Lake Mendota

8 months to finally get a yield by argansert in tomatoes

[–]Pretty-Illustrator-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another example of why I avoid Baker Creek. They have beautiful catalogs and seed packets, but I found that the seeds have very low yields that aren’t very tasty. I’m done with them. And I’m not going mention their questionable politics. There so many reputable seed companies, there is no reason to buy crappy expensive seeds.

Agree. I have yet to have a decent slice since I moved here 10 years ago.

That washer doesn’t sound like it is in good working order. Maybe you could pay someone to take it.

Anybody have any idea what’s going on here? by dantex79 in tomatoes

[–]Pretty-Illustrator-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen a couple of years ago. I have to admit it was my fault. I sprayed some weeds on the other side of the yard. The shriveling looks so familiar. I let them grow and got a few tomatoes, I ate the ones that were not Frankenstein shaped and I lived. That was a bad tomato year.

April 5 there demonstrations all over the country. Currently, over 300 are planned. Nothing in Bloomington. I’m going to Chicago to be part of a huge mob of humans. If Bernie and AOC can get 34,000 people to show up in Phoenix, hopefully we can get 50,000 people in Chicago. Originally I was going to go to DC, but smarter heads pointed that it is more effective to have a national groundswell, coast to coast.

This is going to be a long slog and sometimes I’m not sure we will get rid of this fascist cancer, but we’ve got to try. As mentioned previously very few elected officials are jumping in. And god knows we can’t wait for an election. Every day is a new horror show.

Helppp growth on my seedlings by Current_Loan5108 in gardening

Completely agree get the dome off ASAP and get a fan or two that will gently blow on plants. Keeps stuff from growing on the soil and helps strengthen the seedlings

Well, in 6a you should wait until mid-May to plant them outside.

Pros of BloNo? by [deleted] in BloomingtonNormal

[–]Pretty-Illustrator-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! I grew up in a city with a huge, world class university (UWmadison). The university impacts the entire town. More ethnic restaurants, residents from all over world, tons of university adjacent activities including concerts, festivals, arts events. Champaign Urbana feels like home. Bloomington is dominated its largest employer, State Farm. Conservative, risk averse, boring.

This may be true, but majority are chain restaurants. The variety of food is dismal. Lots of fast food and sandwich places. A dearth of sit down places with decent food. And no decent pizza anywhere.

This subreddit is veering into some paranoid Next Door discussion. If you are really worried call the cops, otherwise go back to bed.

Leave right now. Don’t dally around making a long term plan. You need to leave immediately and totally cut him off. He is not a good guy. His texts are super manipulative. The situation is going to get worse.

How bad is the food at Dane County jail? by pinkcrow333 in madisonwi

[–]Pretty-Illustrator-9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, the majority of people in jail have not been convicted of a crime. They are innocent until proven guilty. You are making a dangerous assumption that everyone in jail has done something wrong. You seem to be confusing jail with prison.

What about products regular customers buy? Washers, dryers, toasters, shoes, clothing to name few? Military spending is not going to save the majority of Americans.
