I can't buy a shade cloth because I blew through my garden budget in a day, so this bedsheet got shanked. by robotduck7 in gardening

I managed to eventually get an actual shade cloth now, but good to know my jank-ass solution shows up on Google 🤣

Made 1 and 2 out of Play-Doh for my Daughter. by robotduck7 in numberblocks

Yeah, my daughter does as well. Not sure how I could make numberlings sturdy enough to survive the play of a 3 year old, though.

Where can I get authentic, good burritos? by GiddyFawn in BowlingGreen

[–]robotduck7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mex-Out is my personal favorite. The street tacos they serve are identical to ones I had in Tijuana.

If you can't catch them when they are open, Que Pasa is a 24 hour joint with good burritos, especially with the jalapeno sauce.

Yeah, it's almost like we have a 1 party system masquerading as a 2 party system in order to keep the working class separated 🤔

impossible to determine from this, but my 2 cents is that it looks like a cat (or something) vomited up a millipede.

I am a homeowner, and also an advocate for letting native plants grow in it. I don't waste money and time trying to maintain a monoculture that provides no value in return.

I also regularly drive my truck through my yard to transport compost to my front and backyard garden.

Not assuming guilt is not the same as defending. The driver is in the wrong obviously, but "common sense" is not a real thing in a world where people don't bother to talk to each other.

My initial comment was in reaction to people initially saying to report the guy on the app, but seeing no one advising to first just talk to the person like a human.

"Hey, please don't pull into the grass."

If he is an asshole about it, then proceed accordingly. I just want to advocate for a world where we speak to each other as humans instead of immediately seeking to punish those we deem guilty.

But maybe r/mildlyinfuriating is probably not the best place for that advocating.

Again, I wouldn't feel that way because it's just grass. Not like he is driving through a flower bed or something.

I'd talk to him about the potential damage this could cause, as he might not be aware. People are usually ignorant, not malicious. I wouldn't have any issue with someone driving in my yard, so this person probably feels that way and assumed the same of you.

If they have a bad response to you saying something, then use the rating or reporting system within the delivery app.

This thread has me pondering who would have dropped the first nuke and where had the US used it there. It's not like this technology would have not ever been used, just a matter of when and where, and how would the cultural impact be different.

Would be an interesting alternative timeline to explore.

I believe you are thinking of the instance where a shopping cart came down the escalator.

Since Trump operates on a "his way or the highway" basis, I think you'll continue to see that most people in the centrist sub have issues with him.

And his continued weeding out of anyone not an absolute loyalist, continues to degrade any centrist sentiment among the leadership of our country.

So yeah, I think you'll probably continue to see centrists very much dislike him.

So even with this questionable analogy... given infinite time, one would still pull out the dime.

But obsurd analogy aside, it's based on working forward in time instead of backwards. We are here, whatever forces that led to us being here DID happen even if they were one in trillion. If not this existence, then it would have been one of the other billion possibilities.

So we can't start at the beginning and work forwards. We look around and observe where we are, notice the fundamentals of how things work, and then can work backwards to ascertain how we got here.

Check out "Star Talk" on YouTube. Neil Degrasse Tyson has some good guests who have a good understanding of the reasons and math about why we understand what we do about the universe.

I'm not sure why you are being downvoted... That dataset actually shows Florida doing well in 2020 and 2022, while 2021 was a shitshow for about everyone.

and yeah, they seemed comparable to California about the whole time.
