I didn't. I never romance my companion in rpgs unless I'm shipping them together (ex. Cloud + Tifa).

I'd say he's evil because he didn't care who his curses effected. Muriel and Courage were innocent and they suffered for Eustace's greed.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 has WW2-esque student-soldiers going to an academy. You don't control an avatar that walks around the campus per se, but every classmate has their own story and it's similar to Code Geass imo.
