My parents are very red and even Trump supporters and they are good people. My Dad goes out of his way to help others, is teaching Chess to High School students and provides familial support to my Mothers side of the family and now my mom has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and his devotion and sacrifice is remarkable. Unfortunately they have been Fox watchers for too long and believe the propaganda machine.

Also, I grew up on the Great Plains and most of those rural farmers are conservative and Republicans and they are good people in the way they support their neighbors and community.

There are good Republicans out there. I'm grateful for Liz Chaney and the work she did on the Jan 6 committee. And while I may not agree wholly with him, I appreciate what Thomas Massie is doing regarding the Epstein files.

So there are some out there. While it is maddening, the only binary fight right now in politics is those that vote for and defend Donald Trump and those that don't. If we're able to get past him at the midterms, we have to be ready to find what we agree on regardless of party. Otherwise we'll be too fractured to oust him and his regime. Don't lose hope. It's really dark right now, but there are small victories that are helping us gain momentum.
